Nearly ALL the roads in downtown Wheeling are in deplorable condition. Not even worthy of a 3rd World Country. Sad.

I love how every shot is an extreme close-up that conveniently leaves out the actual state of the city to make the case for Wheeling Heritage's existence as a non-profit that "does their job".

And no reason to fix the roads as every business has left
@arox41333 жыл бұрын
@@bringerofgood2602 no they haven't and honestly if not for Covid, it would be doing better than it has in a long time. And right now the roads are what they are until they do the street scape project

Not a fan of living in wheeling. As someone who lives in an apartment in wheeling west virginia,, My packages are CONSTANTLY stolen, Homeless people doing it in the basement, (along with smoking weed..which stinks up the whole joint.) According to the matenance man theres human liquids leaking into the basement from the funeral home next door AND behind us? Not cool wheeling..not cool. Let's not forget the loud neighbors. They constantly scream and yell, it's annoying...duh. All I hear is people screaming.

Lol “not afraid to take a stand” everyone is either too poor, or too rich to give any fucks about “taking a stand” instead of preserving wheeling while bringing in new jobs, we only want to preserve wheeling…. Which then leads to most of the town looking like trash because you can’t convince anyone to move there. Wheeling is just a bunch of old money unwilling to change. The word change makes them throw more money to keep it away lol

Zachary Pryor, so, this video is just a propaganda video to promote their gentrification of Wheeling? They did the same thing to our city, went downtown and “revamped” our historical district. This change saw to it that some dilapidated old buildings were remodeled, and trendy restaurants were added. Another consequence was that rent prices are now triple what they once were. Folks from out of town roll in thinking they have a “charming casita” -and they are charming. But they’re still located in the ghetto. Have you noticed an increase in actual opportunities?

@@kells4723 so the problem with this is that most of the rich people have removed themselves to woodsdale and the like. They don’t have to deal with and live with the conditions people that can’t afford to leave or “go somewhere else” have to deal with. I understand that this, in a way, is gentrification. However if rent goes up then wages go up. That’s generally how it works - and I know I’m simplifying that statement. I think that if we let things stay still they will just crumble. Literally. What do you propose wheeling does to combat this problem?
@Blastdaddy693 жыл бұрын
@@kells4723 so i guess my point is how do you convince people to spend large amounts of money again downtown other than to preserve it and enhance it? Change is a constant. It’s not something that human beings do well. They hate to admit they hate it 🙃
