When there was that bit of animosity involving Trucker Hayley I left my comment on her channel giving my take on the situation and a bit of analysis of your motives/character/insecurity etc. They weren't 'dislike you' comments and as I mentioned, I wasn't taking sides. Just my opinion. I watch your films and enjoy most of them and, as you say, you're free to say and do whatever you want on your channel. However I have perceived a change in you from the early films to the present. This could be caused by you growing in confidence the more filming you did. That in turn could have created an arrogance which is better to keep in check. The change could have been caused by personal problems and/or emotional problems in your mind which for me was evident through your eyes and facial expression at times. At the end of the day it's mind over body. Don't let what you are trying to achieve run away with you and rein yourself in when you feel it's needed.

@garysteven78963 жыл бұрын
Tip for you and all the new drivers that follow you, treat the reverse manoeuvre onto a bay exactly as you would pull off a bay as regards vehicle position. What I mean is when you pull off a bay you drive straight forward and don't turn until the trailer is clear then turn sharp essentially making a right angle turn, you never pull 3/4 of the way out and drive diagonally until you're out then straighten (you approached the bay diagonally). Good tip is to drive past the bay you want, 15-20ft away from the front of the units or trailers that are on the bays, have the back of your trailer level with the 3rd bay past the 1 you want, don't aim for the gap using the vehicles either side of your bay as markers, imagine your bay starts around 10ft further forward, that way your trailer will be straighter as it enters the gap between the 2 vehicles. Don't use the corner of the trailer as the reference point for lining up on the bay, on a tri axle trailer use the centre axle to line up with the lines, on a tandem use the gap between the 2 wheels. Remember when you are reversing you are not driving the unit, you are steering the trailer. Shunters are experts, watch how they do it. And yes you are right, Dafs are horrid to reverse, especially with a tandem axle trailer. Really enjoying your videos, which has surprised me, because after 30 years and approx 2.5mil miles, when I get home, trucks are the last thing I want to look at . 😜
