I am Liverpool fan living in Alkmaar so I support AZ Alkmaar. Slot managed AZ before Feyenoord and the job he did there was amazing. He almost won the league with AZ before winning it with Feyenoord. I watch Eredivisie every week and winning the league with Feyenoord is much harder than winning the league with Ajax. Especially when Eric Ten Haag was managing them. Ajax are the Man City of the Netherlands all the money is there. Slot is definitely the Klopp of the Eredivisie.

The financial gap between our so-called "big 6" (City, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs) and the rest of the Premier League is huge... and the financial gap between Man City and the rest of the so-called "big 6" is also a thing. The pressure on Klopp when he went to Liverpool was higher than it will be for Slot, Liverpool have installed a fantastic infrastructure behind the scenes that Klopp didnt have. From what ive seen of him, his character, charisma and man to man management is superb, playing a more controlled game with lethal attacking options all over the front line. I have a feeling this guy is going to be pretty damn good for them.

As an LFC fan I feel like Klopps gengen press has finally been found out, when Liverpool are in possession we struggle to break down teams and rely on moments from key players. All you have to do to beat Liverpool is to try and get an early goal and then park the bus because we rely on the counter attack too much, we struggle so much to break down teams. Arne Slot plays attacking football, however rather than relying on that counter from the gengen press, he likes to hold possession (similar to how Pep plays) and break down teams. So as an LFC fan I'm devastated to see Klopp leave (obviously), however I'm excited to see Arne Slot providing a fresh system that hopefully brings silverware to Anfield. Luckily for Arne he is inheriting a young exciting squad built by no other than Jurgen Klopp.

Our season is practically over after last round of the PL, players can now start thinking about the new season - who wants to impress the new manager and fight for a spot, who wants to jump ship. What you're not counting on with us being in the title race is the fact that Klopp has set up this squad to fight for titles - that is also why he is a legend - leaving when the train is speeding up not slowing down. Klopp's philosophy is one of fear. The players seemed petrified of making mistakes. He called it heavy metal football, but I saw it as very risk averse. We need to be far more daring and I hope Slot diverges from the current system.

Super great feedback by Goldbridge - thank you. Fans across all clubs should continue to pressurise the poor quality of officialiating this season, utterly embarassing. Anyway as a liverpool fan, Klopp has decided to leave and we need to embark on a new era, I hope Slot can solve our attacking problems and give us a killer instinct against teams in the PL that we should be beating with ease. I hope in the final third, there is better creativity than what Klopp was able to do for us.

We are a good side, but there are so many new faces esp. the midfield in the team.. I don't expect them to play well together in just a season.. In fact, we have overachieved by going into a title race.. I'm expecting a lucky 3rd place this season, most probably 4th.. Which is why I am not as sad as many fans do when we out of the race..

At the start of this season, w/ our new midfield, I was just hoping for Top 4. And here we are about to wrap up Top 4 + an EFL Cup. Next season w/ a new gaffer, a Top 4 finish would suit me just fine, w/ maybe a good little run in CL.
