Daggerwin, with Cotton and seeing the little bit in the distance, that's because the game is actually counting the bits between the rows where there's no visible plant. Go up it, you'll get a surprising amount.

A thing to note with the production chains is just not the recipe but also cycles/month. So for the spinnery you are getting 1,440 Litres of Farbic from 2,880 Litres of Wool per Month. You are then also getting 1,728 Litres of Fabric a Month from 2,880 Litres of Cotton. So combine both, you be getting 3,168 Litres of Fabric a month with this spinnery. This is good with making clothes then as it is 2:1 ratio of Fabric to Clothes. The Cycles/Month is 1,080. So you be using 2,160 Litres of Fabric to make 1,080 Litres of Clothes. This could mean with a big enough cotton field, can fill the spinnery so that in the months your not using cotton and it runs out, can top it up with wool that would hold you over to the next harvest of cotton in the following year
@travelinman702 жыл бұрын
the problem is the cotton AND wool going into the spinnery. When the spinnery is set to use both raw materials, it halves the production cycles each. It's not like the oil and flour productions that can run full speed on multiple raw materials. Two spinnery's per tailor is ideal to keep the tailor full.

12:30 Good thing you didn't lease that trailer, that one if for square bales. For round you'd need the black on at the far right. 15:10 What about buying the BGA as a goal, it only cost £1,500,000. 15:55 Been a while since I played this map, but if I remember correct it was about 7 square (14 round) bales of cotton from field 26.

Where I live, the cotton farmers use that exact harvester, and they usually just rent them. You can drive around and see the cotton bales in rolls out in the fields. And around here the cotton gins have trucks to come around and pick up the bales. Course you know when the cotton gins are picking up the bales without seeing the trucks, because cotton fuzz be all along the side of roads

Speaking of cotton. My nana and papa use to be cotton farmers. They had 3 fields of 2500 arces of cotton in West Texas. They made 4 to 5 mil off each field. I don't remember how long it took them to harvest it all. But they quit farming and turned one field in solar panels and another into wind turbines

If you are set on buying big machines but only have a small farm, subcontract work seems to be a good way of financing there upkeep. What is the logic of always trying to start tasks in the 'cotton' field on the diagonal next to the road. Helpers tend to go NSEW or 45 deg. You would do less mileage and less overlapping starting on the side nearest to the railway. The solar farm is influenced by the weather and day length. A balance is to have a few (smaller)(possibly vertical axis) wind power generators for cloudy days. However nothing works when there is fog.

If you end up doing cotton on field 26, you should look into the John Deere CS 770 on modhub. It has a 11.4 meter working width and makes quick work of cotton fields. It does cost more but the increase in productivity is worth it. Field 26 would also be great for planting corn and doing a silage harvest if you end up buying a BGA.

Hey daggerwin I think you should put trees in the top half of the new field ((1)at least it'll be so what useful) and sell the the trees in lag forest. I have field 2 and 3 as grapes, when I make the vineyard I do 5 rows and miss 1 (enough to fit a medium tractor down the gap) do 10 rows till I finish the field. My suggestion is to get the pallet storage warehouse, and then you can store all your pallets there, and it will display the quantities of items that you may have in storage for an easier time selling from your productions. Otherwise keep up the great work.
@travelinman702 жыл бұрын
When the pallet limit of 100 came out I tried the warehouse and noticed that in the sale screen. very handy and adds realism to the storage of product while waiting for the best price....instead of leaving it on the ground outside the production. I do like needing to do the transport from production to warehouse. There is a mod that can auto distribute to the warehouse, but seems too cheaty.

Hey Daggerwin, I commented on one of your last videos about the solar panels and how they are not consistent throughout the year. This is the data from my testing for 1 large solar panel (easy and normal economic difficulty produced similar results). January: $2511 February: $2036 March: $4464 April: $4836 May: $5208 June: $5208 July: $5208 August: $4464 September: $4092 October: $3720 November: $2976 December: $1980 I did this testing a couple months ago so a subsequent update may have altered how they work, however, my test methodology was: - Map was Elmcreek - Economic difficulty was set to easy - I Purchased 1 large solar panel and placed it in an open field with no obstructions - I made sure I didn't own anything else - I slept until 8am each morning and recorded the amount earned from the solar panel from the previous month - I repeated the experiment for a second year but on normal economic difficulty, but there was no change in result If you plot the data of Month Vs. Earnings then you can see a clear rise in earnings from December to May where it plateaus at its highest value of $5208 for 3 months before decreasing to its lowest point of $1980 in December. Therefore, since the length of a day in Farm Sim in proportional to the time of year I can conclude that amount earned from a solar panel is proportional to the amount of light in a day/month. Which frankly, its pretty fricken cool that it works like that.

Too bad you didn't sold the cotton bales. They are worth around 100k a bale and you don't need cotton in the spinnery, because it has a very low cycle of production, half of that of wool. Also, with Ctrl + Tab you can jump to the last vehicle bought or leased and with Shift + P you can open the construction/landscaping menu, so you don't need to search for it in the main menu. I hope this helps.
