The people we truly love are the ones with the power to hurt us the most. Klaus hurt Rebekah for centuries by refusing to let her find love, and then by taking Marcel away by tempting him with immortality. Rebekah hurt Klaus by bringing Mikael to New Orleans. They both hurt Elijah repeatedly by fighting with each other. And Klaus is at his worst when he's truly hurt, no doubt about it. BUT - I don't think he'd ever really kill Rebekah because he does love her so much. That's why the daggers are a perfect revenge for him; he can punish them by making them miss out on centuries of time without actually killing them, and when they wake up, they're dependent on him until they adapt to the new times they're in. Damn, Mikael and Esther REALLY effed up their kids!

as much as Michael disgusts me, (he and his "-boy!") I have to admit that the episodes with his participation are among my favorites! the actor was simply born for the role!

Elijah gave the white oak stake to him in season 4 when he asked him to let Katherine free and Klaus refused because he chose to let Rebekah try to have the cure even if Silas told him that he would have tortured him eternally with his mind powers if he didn't get the cure. Elijah gave him the white oak because that way he would have been sure he wouldn't have died, anyway Klaus then tricked Elijah and Rebekah so Silas got the cure after the prom.

screw reign, there are some very bad actors on that show, the casting director should never work again
