Barry once said that he regretted shaving for this. Obviously he is more comfortable bearded. I’m surprised at this video…the one I’ve seen starts out in black and white, but then turns to color. The clothes are much more vivid…the two female dancers are wearing green satin like dresses. Thanks Chad, I enjoyed seeing this again.

What a fun song. It’s a different Barry without the beard and that long mane of his but still very handsome. To start with I would like to emphasize that I appreciate Barry and his music very much and I really enjoy listening to him. Nevertheless, I have the feeling that the "Bee Gees Marathon" has almost become a "Barry Gibb Marathon" in recent weeks. Of course, you have already reacted to most Bee Gees songs in recent years, but there is certainly still one or the other treasure. Chad, I am and will remain a huge fan of your channel.

Great idea Chad, better to keep on the music since there is still a long way to go, and a big amount of what is missing is awesome, believe me. I like only few songs from the album and this is one of them, you already reacted to 'Shine Shine' which is also great, as soon as I saw the notification, immediately remembered you saying you didn't want to be disappointed hearing Barry sing that kind of music, in my case is the only 'rap' I will ever listen to, not bad at all.

Darn it. I got up too late this morning. I LOVE THIS! This was worth the wait and the few nudges. I think we've told you about "Now Voyager" before. It is a set of vignettes where Barry's character gets thrown into various time periods and situations in order for him to learn - well learn how not to be such a jerk. The controlling theme is water. After one of his "lessons" he always ends back up in water (cleansing??). He shaved the beard for this part of the r&b singer from the 60's. The band and the backup singers are just perfect. I am completely taken over by the call and response section. I answer him. I love his fearlessness and that voice is just superb.

That's too funny your reaction to, suddenly, remembering that this was the song people had already told you quite awhile back that it's the song where Barry kind of raps! As soon as I saw the notification for it, I thought, “Is this the song where Barry kind of raps?” I didn't remember for sure because I'd only ever listened to this song once or twice a long time ago. Then, I thought, “He finally decided to get it over with. I'm pretty sure this is that song.” Anyways, I didn't like this song before because I thought it was really weird. But, now, I think it's really fun.

Many different sounds to hear on 'Now Voyager'. No closed theme, just an open range and yes, he's doin' a good job on it. BTW, rap or not, on the song 'Jumbo' (Bee Gees single, 1968) he's also kinda talkin' upspeeded at the end. And on the track 'This Is Your Life' out of the album E.S.P. in 1987, such elements are also included. Blocked or not, go on Chad, the way you do it. We need you!

I personally love Barry Gibbs's sound, but this LP was a disappointment for me! Robins's solo efforts were much superior! "Fine Line" wasn't a good choice for a 45 release. The strongest song on the LP was "One Night For Lovers"

I'd say it was a great choice, because it was different from the regular Bee Gee's stuff. That was the whole point of them doing solo albums when they split to try out different things. I liked pretty much all the music on it, and it was precisely because it didn't sound like Bee Gee's music.

Ahhhh, Barry's breathy staccato years where you can barely make out the lyrics. I think it's hard for people to connect to a song when you don't know what the singer is saying. I think this could have been a hit, but his vocals are just terrible. Sorry.
