Prime is in the business of selling trucks not moving freight. The freight is just a middle man between the truck and the driver. I was a company guy at prime for 6 months and I made more than the lease drivers every week. I made good money as a company guy but I saw what they were doing to lease drivers. They play off the hustle mindset and work hard crap. When in reality you’re set up to fail with the high payment and fees and if you’re not working 14 hours a day 6 days a week you’re probably not bringing money home that week. Prime benefits more than the lease driver. Eventually those lease drivers leave or pay their dues til they get the experience. But it’s not the place to be for lease. Cus that truck will be passed along to another driver within a week. They fired me for rejecting a load due to no HOS and my truck was already back on the fleet the next week. You’re a number at prime. Not a driver. Props to y’all for still trying to stick it out but don’t be afraid to leave if the money ain’t there cus I assure you there’s money elsewhere

How yal do it with prime… im an owner operator and I make good money after all my expenses are paid. Rates are not all that good but its still money out here you have to get away from the mega carriers and get with a company that need all there drivers running to make money and make sure their drivers are running and not sitting because if you sitting they losing money and mega carriers will make money even if they have 300 trucks a day just sitting doing nothing. Get with a company that can’t afford to just have drivers sitting and will make sure you moving and not just moving to cover your expenses but moving to make you money as well as them and don’t have a revolving door of drivers in and out

Worked at Prime for a year, I left and became an owner operator hauling hazmat tanker! Would never recommend Prime to anyone, the reason why the terminals are state of the art is because they’re ripping all the lease drivers off.

You may think the grass is greener at X company and you're thinking of switching, BUT it won't be greener for very long after you have switched companies, because that's the way it is, now, in the past, and will be in the future. Leasing is good if you are ready to train students . You can make tons of money training, and most of the Prime accounts are time sensitive loads that need team drivers.. A few weeks back, I had to change my 6 tires. Steer tires 500 each, and driver tires 1500 each. So 4 super singles and 2 drive tires cost me 7K + tax and things.. I do the same thing 1 week or 2 weeks home time, but if you have lease payment, be on the road for a minimum of 5 weeks, or you are not going to make any money

That’s a great content idea. I’ve been local since I got my CDL. And I’ve been trying to get my experience up and all my endorsements to stay local and make good money. I also have wife and kids and I really value my time home with them daily. Hopefully the rates gets better for everybody thats moving America. @fargo2wxvy843 I spoke to a recruiter 3 days orientation than 3 weeks out with a trainer at $200 a week which suppose to cover your food expense .. than you come back take your road test than go back out with a trainer to get 50.000 miles in which at that time you get a guarantee $900.00 a week until u get 50.000 miles ,I just really hope I get a trainer that really teaches me to pass my road test..
