I just came to see E4M1: Catafalque, man that map was way way harder than any of the previous ones. First one where I felt that they just dont give you enough ammo.

@@Fernito It was cool to bait that Maulo dude to kill those smaller dudes to save ammo. I ended up the level with not enough ammo to kill the last enemy Maulotaur so I came here to check how its done.

That first level was so hard. I play one step down from max difficulty but wow that was like hitting a wall for me because it was tough to conserve enough ammo. Nice vids, thanks!

Man, this was amazing work. I loved heretic when I was young. I even speedran first three chapters with friends... But I have never beated datadisk at that time - not on Black Plague difficuilty. Loved the play, brought me great memories. Maulotaur in first level, ophidian hell in second... Great job.

Thanks man! Yeah, episodes 4 and 5 are several steps higher in terms of difficulty compared to the original 3, not easy at all xD btw, episode 5 playthrough will come out soon as well :)

You’re my new favourite player of this game. Unlike the previous one that I watched, you don’t chicken out at the first sign of a Maulotaur, and you don’t fresh start each level.

Awesome! I am not sure that its possible on difficulty 4 to get 100% kills on the first level. I used to play on difficulty 5 but I prefer 4 because I can use the gauntlets

To think that the music is recycled from "City of the Damned," except that "Catafalque" (Map 1 of this episode) uses the music from "The Cathedral" (Map 6 of that episode), whereas "Halls of the Apostate" (Map 6 here) uses that from "The Docks" (Map 1 there).

woah I thought you were really good at the game for a second until I realized you had the turbo set to about 130 at 12:14 when you ran faster than the hellstaff shots! you had me fooled up until then that you weren't cheating at all.

yeah, I think that somehow the port I was using has strafe50 always activated. I also noticed that I was straferunning a little faster than the original version, but I thought it was just the way the port works in this respect. In no case intended as cheating.

Wait.. are you aiming with your MOUSE??
