Speaking of Independence Day references, in the N64 port of Duke Nukem 3D, namely, Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, the clip of the lady in the white bra and panties in the movie theater has been replaced by a scene of a giant alien mother ship that is destroying the White House. Honestly, in hindsight, in particular, considering 9/11, this altered clip would be ironically seen as far more offensive than a lady that is in lingerie, as the White House was supposed to be one of the targets of the Al Qaeda/Taliban terrorists.

11:01, it is also in reference to the movie that is based on the same franchise that was made in the 1990s. Also, unlike the setting of Duke Nukem 3D, which has parts of it take place in Los Angeles, the show, and movie, both take place in New York City, so it would be an NYPD police car that would have actually been used, but the people that made the game clearly did not think of such matters.

9:56, coincidentally, there's also supposed to be an upcoming Indiana Jones video game that's supposed to be a FPS as well, and the name of the game is called Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and its due date for release is unknown, though some of the people that are working on this game are behind the two newest Wolfenstein games, as well as some middle 2000s FPS hits, such as The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and The Darkness.

8:40, true story, but I once was playing Midnight Club III: DUB Edition Remix on my Sony PS2 when there was an earthquake that had hit where I was living in California around 2010 or so. I barely even noticed the earthquake because I had lived in another state that had them a lot as well, namely, Tennessee. Needless to say, due to that fact, and my faith in the Creator, I kind of felt like Duke did at that moment, although, in hindsight, it wasn't the smartest move on my part.

The Luke Skywalker one might also be a reference to Star Wars Jedi Dark Forces, which was made in 1995, as well as its then upcoming sequel, naturally, Star Wars Jedi Dark Forces II, which was made in 1997, two expansion packs to the previously mentioned game, which were Star Wars: Jedi Dark Forces II: Mysteries of the Sith, which was made in 1998, and Star Wars Jedi Dark Forces II: Outcast, which was made in 2002, and a second sequel that was called Star Wars: Jedi Knight Academy, which was made in 2003. Earth Defense Forces might be referring to the 1991 arcade game that was called Earth Defense Force that was made by Jaleco, and that was also later ported to the SNES/NSFC as Super Earth Defense Force. Coincidentally, another completely unrelated series that was also called by that title, namely, Earth Defense Forces/Earth Defense Force/Monster Attack, although also science fiction in form, and also having to do with aliens, and giant alien insects, began its name as literally translating into Earth Defense Forces in its original Japanese name, or, in one PAL instance, was called Monster Attack, is a series of eleven games that began in the year 2003 and that exists to this day (2024), and this series was made by Sandlot, thinkArts, Vicious Cycle Software, Yuke's, D3 Publisher, Agetec, XSeed Games, and PQube, so one could either consider the name of the organization that is in the Duke Nukem series as an unintentional shout out to the Jaleco game, or an equally unintentional foreshadowing of the later completely unrelated video game franchise.

I know it's late, but a good tip for a shortcut, and these only apply with these two artifacts, is Backspace for the Tome of Power (you have to have at least one for that to work) and Page Up for the Wings of Wrath (again, you must have at least one set for that to work). Those are good ways to activate those two artifacts without having to look through your inventory. Unfortunately, I don't think there are any such single-key shortcuts for any of the other eight artifacts.

The wings of wrath shortcut I knew, but not the tome of power one. It's anyway not very convenient when you play with WASD + mouse, since the backspace button is far out of reach :P
