Definizione di eresia: Il Vescovo utilizza il termine "quasi eretico" senza chiarire come le dottrine del Cammino deviano dagli insegnamenti fondamentali della Chiesa, risultando in un'accusa vaga e generalizzata. 2. Descrizione della liturgia: La critica della liturgia come "protestante" sembra eccessiva e non supportata da prove concrete. Ogni movimento liturgico ha le sue peculiarità, e senza un'analisi approfondita, tali affermazioni possono risultare ingiuste. 3. Mito della frattura costantiniana: L'interpretazione storica del Vescovo potrebbe non tenere conto delle complessità della transizione tra la Chiesa pre e post-Costantino. I live in Haifa, Israel. Our main church is Carmelite but there is a small chapel that is primarily for Hebrew speaking Catholics. I had been away from the Church for many years and am not familiar with the Novus Ordum. Our parish, St. Joseph's does Mass in English or Arabic. The Monastery of Stella Maris also has an Italian Mass but with readings and homily in Arabic. I need to get a transliteration of the Arabic liturgy because the English is bland and sometimes they throw in a Protestant hymn. When I've been to the Arab Mass, it has a much more spiritual feel even tho I don't understand most of it. I wish they did an Italian Mass. They do, for the teaching sisters but it's early and really just for them. But I'm commenting because I had never heard of neocatechumenate until the priest at the chapel told me that is what he is and that there is a big seminary in Korazin. I went to the ordination of their deacons and it was very beautiful with the Latin Patriarch presiding but I have been having problems with some of what I am observing. I think after watching this video, I will not be going there. I don't understand the Jewish connection to the NCW. I hope the comments are strictly doctrinal and not anti-semitic. Even tho I speak Hebrew in my daily life, I really dislike the Hebrew liturgy and when they start playing "Messianic" songs on guitars, I really go nuts. I came here because I was married to a Jewish Believer but he died 2 years ago. I can't go back to the US but am hoping to get Italian citizenship thru my bloodline. In the English Mass, they have sometimes erred with Protestant music but there is a choir and actual organ. It's all a bit insipid but better overall and I think I can trust the Carmelite priests even tho they are not strict traditionalists more than I can the NCWs.

If Popes Bl. Paul Vi and St. John Paul II and Cardinal Ratzinger -- later Pope Benedict XVI did not find any heresy in the Neocatechumenal Way, I too don't find any heresy in the NCW. (by the way I am 27 years in it). The little I heard Mgr. Athanasius I can say he is not quite accurate.

Dear Ochan, Sorry, but your "The little I heard" have nothing to do with accurate, especially if you heard this "little" from catechists. Try listen this video again, because this is exactly historical accurate facts. I heartily sympathize that you spent so much time in this insidious heresy. There are few testimonies of people who have returned to the Catholic Church even after such a long time, but it will not be easy because of in-depth brainwashing and the threat of alienation from the community. You have to start thinking, pray eagerly and seek the truth with all your strength - "you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." J 8,32. If Archbishop Athanasius had disobeyed in any way or had gospel some untruth, he would have been reprimanded or even dismissed by the Apostolic See in Rome, but nothing like this had happened in contradistinction to the NW, who had shown total disobedience, to this day all the Congregation for the Doctrine Of the Faith. I am not interested in engaging in a debate. I entered the NW because the young man invited me to 'come and see'. As a priest I thought it my obligation. For 13 years six decasteries minutely examined every word and every moment. and finally the Popes recognized the statutes and other documents. Nobody stands at the altar except the priest. If you see anything different, it is not allowed and should be reported to your bishop. You can find the Statutes online that have been approved by the Vatican.

La mayoría de los que pertenecen al CNC jamás han conocido los mamotretos y no tienen ningún conocimiento previo de la historia de la Iglesia, por lo que no tienen criterio para decir "Hey, esto está mal". Los otros, que están fuera, no conocen las enseñanzas del grupo. De los sacerdotes que están adentro, muchísimos se criaron en el "camino", y por tanto crecieron creyendo que sus enseñanzas son verdaderas. Unfortunately the bishop spoke in Italian and I am not so strong in Italian. If someone could translate his interview I would be happy. I have watched bishop Athanasius' other English videos. I was quite impressed by his calmness and clarity. I was wondering how such a person could be so different in this video. There are some bishops and priests. But what we in the Indian NCW follow is what is approved by the Church and local bishops.

The neocats in my parish are not the friendliest people, and are very cliquey, except when they are fundraising for the capital campaign.. then they really turn on the charm. This group of people make me feel so unwelcome, in my parish of 15 years. 🥲
