Wow, really scary lifts. I really like these. Reminds me of all lifts from the 1970s, ones that you were likely to get stuck in! Would be extra cool to see the motor room from these lifts! This one gets a rare mrmattandmrchay "add to favourites" vote.

These doors are very similar to Kone M-series doors.

Lanterns look very Otis like, but fixtures remind me of Kone. Interessting combination. But I am worried about the doors, they have a few issues. I guess they never really bothered to maintain these lifts well. This increases the risk of modernization (although repairs in this case are necessary).

+dykodesigns2yt The buttons are typical KAG (KONE-ASEA-Graham). The font on these indicators look quite different from the 1950s-60s era OTIS indicators i have seen. But they also look different from Westinghouse. Hmm... Can you send me a link to a video where they look similar? These elevators are really run down. They have done their duty. Too bad they didn't maintain them better. I think the best would be a full replacement by KONE, rather than modernization.

+Heritage Elevators Well, the first thing I thought of was Otis when I saw the lanterns. I think they look similair without beeing Otis lanterns. I wouldn't be suprised if they licensed (or simply copied) the design. It's known that some western companies licensed technology to eastern companies or even helped them. Shortly before the end of the DDR VW assisted the eastern german car makers to develop a newer, more modern version of the Trabi because the 1950's car had become outdated by the late 80's. Seeing the lifts from eastern europe in comparison to western lifts of the same vintage shows some interessting differences in technology. They where technically behind in some ways, although these particalair lifts look to be on par with their western counterparts from the same vintage aside maybe from the built quality. I am afraid that a replacement is unavoidable in this case, the appear to have many issues, I don't think they would pass safety inspection anymore even in Poland. Maybe they could replace the doors (but paint the new doors brown to match the architecture) and refurbish the cabs a bit but keep the classic lanterns because they are a nice original feature of the late 60's early 70's. I quite like the interiour design of the hallway with the brown color sceme it's so 70's looking and in the netherlands a lot of those buildings have been refurbished and have lost their original interiour architecture. This is why I am a bit reluctant with door replacements, because they are a part of the architecture. It requires a bit of extra effort to find a good replacement, most building owners don't care and just whack a stainless steel door in. Kone or other companies could start developing moderisation packages for buidlings from the 1950-1970 era just like how they have fixtures and bespoke solutions for 1900 era lifts.
