Getting Started: Mutatawwi'a

This short episode covers the basics of the Mutatawwi'a, and is aimed at beginners wishing to get into the Age of Crusades.
The Mutatawwi'a are a very aggressive warband, who hit hard but have very few defensive abilities. The suggested army composition for an all round capability is:
Warlord (mounted on camel)
1 pt Hearthguard (mounted on camels)
5 pt Warriors (10-12 with bows+warbanner, the rest with no special equipment)
This is a good starting point which will allow you to experiment with the warband and expand your collection from there.

Oh dear. I see camels and I went HG heavy. I think I’ve got the exact opposite, 5 points of HG (3 camel, 1 horse, 1 foot) and one point of Warrior Archers. That ability that drops your armour by 1. Very handy when camels take on horses because they are at -1 to their attack dice. I was originally playing them with naffatan but they have found a new home with the Byzantines.

I have not seen a 'standard' Mut warband so far. There are enough options to really tailor it to your playstyle, which is great

Another great video! May I ask, what do you use for the shrubbery for your basing, do you use finished tufts of grass or a static grass applicator?

Thanks, I only ever use finished tufts, I'm not attached to a particular brand they all seem quite similar. Just use washes and dry brushing to get them looking like different shades of the basic color
