OMG!!!! Why are you bashing the Martingle and not the even money bet. They are the same i.e.odds wise. In addition the negative EV that you preached when playing Bacarrat is ONLY true IF the law of averages prevails. Playing the hands must be considered as short term. Irregularity happens in short term and therefore the EV should be thrown out. Anyway your honest opinion. Does the Casino grind players off their money because of House Edge? Its because people PLAY TO PLAY and not PLAY TO WIN. They are betting way over their head. Are they interested in winning 20% of their Bankroll? All these things contributed to their losses MORE than the MATH part that you preached. Even if the Casino forgo the House Edge, people still LOSE!!. And finally, if a person worries about the negative small EV in Baccarat, they should worry about life events like Being strike by a lightning OR run over by a car when crossing the road OR objects falling from the top floors when they walk out of their apartments. They should stay at home, but wait a minute a plane could ram into their home. Think about this , everybody is living their life with negative EV whan life events are concerned. SHOULD WE WORRY ABOUT THEM???

The Martingale is no better nor worse than the constant bet, except when some fool believes that it actually works (is profitable) and follows the prescription to make very large bets. Since the house edge is a ratio, a very large bet means a very large expected loss (in absolute terms). Plus the risk becomes unbearable, especially when the fool is taking a loan to make the bet.

I have talked with casino management. They do grind their profits through the house edge. You can actually calculate their profits from the EV and the turnover.

@@alankwan6743 , If one were to do a 5 step Martingle, its only 31 units. What kind of gambling does not require 31 units bankroll? Its manageable. In order to prove you wrong lets be fair with the argument. You mixed up 8 deck of cards everyday and play 8 selected hands and stop. Selected means charting and play ONLY when you like. Don't play every hand. Let the results speak for themselves.

Not right. The house edge is 1+% but the hold in Baccarat is 14% to 25%.

Although the concept of Expect Value is based on the assumption of infinitely many number of games, it doesn't mean you are not affected if you only play for a short period or even one game. EV is a criteria that you can judge an action whether it is worthy or not. Negative EV represents an overall disadvantage. If you still bet on it, of course you still may win, but it means you are stupid, because you are also going to make similar bad decisions in the rest of your life. EV is a criteria for making decision. You can't let the result speak because you never know the result before you make the decision. That's why we need a criteria to deal with such randomness.
