yea the c18 is much better imo easier to wear . the c24 is nice but i think unless you like to double strap it, on the single shoulder its not the most convenient due to buckle weight

Love your detailed review! I have a C24 Epsom Etoupe, and my sis has a C24 Evercolor Blue Zanzibar. I am not a big fan of Epsom leather, and C is the only bag that I would accept in the Epsom leather. I definitely prefer the Evercolor over Epsom, but would probably only want it in the smaller size. Because the shoulder strap is really thin for C24. My sis's bag when fully packed could be extremely heavy and it looks like the softer Evercolor strap is being stretched, and over time it gets even softer. btw, my sis is having her H buckle changed due to a bad scratch, and it cost a few hundreds only. And out of curiosity, she asked if she could change the color of the hw, but H said no. Enjoy your lovely bag. :)

Thankyou so much for sharing the experience that your sister had. I can see your point about the thin strap with the softer leather i wouldnt worry too much i sometimes overfill my kelly and thats swift leather and i dont notice any stretch to the strap but i can see how its possible with the constance since there are no D rings to bear some of the strap weight its just wrapped all around as one piece of leather. I still think she will be ok though just let the leather rest every so often i.e. rotate the bags i would be more concerned about gussets stretching on softer leather when overfilling the constance so that might be something for her to keep an eye on because once those stretch its hard to repair where as worst case if her strap does stretch out it can be replaced much easier 😊 . For me i still prefer evercolour over epsom 😆 its the leather being easy to scratch that bothers me 😫

Another con that I realized for my c24 is that the shoulder strap cannot be removed or adjusted. Lol if sits perfectly above hip but I love how the c18 has a lower strap drop.

yes i had mentioned that in the vid but ended up cutting it out since the vid was so long i had to trim alot out. but i hope majority know its not removable strap as you cannot see any hooks. i seen they have reinvented the verrou to have a removable strap maybe only the mini size but i agree with you its something they should think about for the constance i mean they can capitalise on selling their sangle straps to make more money too haha. the c18 i used to own was perfect for crossbody but its really a small bag.

Thank you! Absolutely it is very similar to Prada Saffiano leather. It has grains rather than the saffiano leather which is like lines and smooth but if anything the leather grains is what makes it easy to scratch since its a stiff leather and it catches on the grain kind of slicing the top off when you do scratch it... Not cool. Im fine with scratches on smooth leathers like swift tadelakt box because you can buff them in but they are just on the surface where as epsom scratches tend to lift the colour and even worse the whole grain of the leather 😥

Great in-depth review on the Constance 24! I'm trying to decide between an 18 and 24. I'm leaning towards the 24 because I'm not a crossbody girl and the 24 has a shorter strap to wear as a longer shoulder bag without having to double up the straps. A reviewer had mentioned the strap has a tendency to slide off her shoulder whenever she wears it as a single long strap. Does that tend to happen to you too?

yes it does slip off the shoulder due to buckle weight but more so with epsom than evercolour or swift, i often wear my c24 crossbody or on the shoulder with non slippery tops like knitwear and cotton tshirts. i have a evercolour C24 rose azalee for sale if interested for a bargain price, just DM me on instagram at purseonfleek to enquire.

Where I live, it’s common to see a Birkin, sometimes Kelly. But I’m probably the only one around that carries a Constance. I use it cross body even if I’m 5’8, it’s like a way more elegant cross bodied “belt bag” in my opinion.

Thats so cool! Actually i never see any Hermes bags where i am in Sydney but if i go to the city of Sydney (main CBD) then i do see Hermes here and there but more so LV, Gucci, Chanel. I think the constance is definitely versatile for crossbody my qualm is more to do with the epsom leather in c24 being so structured i dont love the feel of it crossbody especially the strap moves close to my neck. But that Gris Mouette colour i love so much i can ignore the leather lol. I think next c24 if i add again will be evercolour 😊

Purseonfleek same thoughts. I actually held an evercolor one in a blue color. It feels much better than epsom. Hopefully I add another constance in the future, preferably evercolor. It’s the perfect leather. It’s soft and buttery and allows the Constance to be a little flatter and closer to the body, but it never loses its shape and has enough texture so that scratches don’t show too much like swift or box calf. But then again, had I gotten an evercolor, I will always wonder “what if I got the constance in epsom” hahaha! If only I could’ve gotten both!

Hello! Evercolour i would say same maintenance as tadelakt. But plus side with evercolour it has a grain to the leather so its actually less susceptible to surface scratches than tadelakt. I would suggest with evercolour very dark colours black dark green darkest blues may show scratches as it behaves very very similar to swift in dark colours. Generally normal scratches will blend with conditioning but when u apply too much pressure in a scratch on dark colours its very hard to buff it out. But the odds of doing a deep scratch more than once is unlikely. Good to keep some Cadillac conditioner on hand to clean/condition and buff to shine every 6months as maintenance (less is more apply sparingly). Or use immediately if you get the bag very dirty or colour transfer - this applies to all finished leathers (togo, clemence, evercolour, epsom, swift, tadelakt, chevre, evergrain)

It leans slightly forward but nothing noticable and definitely nothing to make it fall forward. Its very well weighted considering the size and quality of the H buckle

Purseonfleek Thankyou! You are right, mine is size 24 and the buckle weight. I thought its defects due to how its more towards in the front when i sat it on the table. Seeing yours stood up straight in the video i thought my constance was made somewhat unbalance on the bottom.

age is just a number! you wear whatever bag you like! i personally feel that hermes is timeless its probably one of the very few brands that whatever you do buy it suits all ages, its classy, elegant, never just a "trend" and Hermes is the top tier of all luxury handbag brands. I would suggest whatever bag suits your lifestyle, if you prefer to be handsfree a constance 18 or 24 would be great for you or a kelly 25, 28, 32 or if you like top handle bags then a birkin 25 or birkin 30

Hermes doesnt have authenticity cards for any of their bags. Unless you buy in store you should get your bags authenticated with reputable third party authenticators like Bababebi, Real Authentication, Lollipuff.

oh good to know! yes i think for the elan its about 25cm across where as 24 is 23.5cm across but in alligator it would be quite structured and likely why you found it bulky... think better in a soft leather like swift :)
