I've never heard those specific critiques of the Constance, nor have I had those issues myself, but we also have very different body types so perhaps that explains it. I think the Constance is actually prettier than the birkin and since it's often harder to obtain, I get more attention when I wear it versus my birkins, so it also brings me a different feeling, but I like both!

just discovered your channel and love this video. I have a black Constance 24 and I need it to be cross body. We measured the length I wanted and send it back to Hermes for a redo of the strap. Took several months (pre-covid though) and it actually didn‘t cost too much.

I like Constance because in a way it’s not as recognizable as Birkin. When I go to the mall or run quick errands, it’s nice to have something cross body. I noticed that I do not use Kelly as much for daily because of sellier style. I love oran sandals as well!

One last thing it’s like nobody taught this current generation how to build a wardrobe, y’all just seem to buy a bunch of crap with no thought of how it will better your wardrobe. Make a list of what you are missing in your jewelry some thing that’s missing in your coat something is missing in your sweaters something that’s missing in your pants something that’s missing in skirts or dresses. The list will be constantly changing his new collections come out as things get old and worn but good Lord have some thought into your purchases. I’ll actually have never sold one piece, I have given away pieces that I have literally worn the crap out of somebody who doesn’t mind a gifted piece of a very vintage luxury.

That's absolutely how I approach purchasing items for my wardrobe! But despite best intentions, I still get pieces that don't work out - either my preferences changed or I discovered an aspect that doesn't work for me, but it was something I came to learn once I had the piece. Sometimes you just have to try to know what works for you.

But I get it, content is a constant necessity in the world of KZbin creators. In my eye, Epsom leather, looks, feels & wears “cheap”. A Constance is a true ladies bag. It was not built for multitasking. It is not for those in a hurry. It’s a perfect finish to a perfect outfit. It’s for a lovely shopping day and catching a fabulous lunch with friends. It’s for a day in to night. I love seeing it in a box, swift & goat leather. You are lovely and I don’t know if you noticed but that pink Clic Clac H bracelet looks amazing with your hair color. I’m sure you could find an inexpensive navy blazer with a pocket. Navy goes with so much in that pocket square would look fabulous With it all. Theory has a cute one😊💕💫

Better in terms of use? Perhaps, since you can wear that one crossbody and can easily use both hands to open and close the bag. But personally I have a lot of mini bags that I’m not as interested in getting a C18 🙈 I’ll keep the larger size and deal with the hassle 😂

Oh no, you look gorgeous in those photos with con con. It's not the straps, it's time you want to live in a better body shape for you. I would work my butt out to lose weight and I'm trying to lose 3 -4 kg to attend my perfect weights. It's hard because I like food. 😂 Actually, you can add a piece of fur handle cover. It would help your bag stay on your shoulder and the fur looks so elegant and cute for winter time.

I would say that Constance 24 might go well with you better either wear it only in summer time or wear thinner jackets/ coats or lose some weight in winter.

Very interesting. I agree with you on many points. I agree that at many of these price points especially Hermes, you should not have to limit yourself to the season that you can wear it. I understand having bags that may be preferred to carry seasonally, but shouldn't be obligated, because of structure. I struggle with ANY silks even twillys. I love the packaging, but honestly .. I purchased a 12 pack of Twillys from Amazon that work just as well. I am very big on cost per wear so ideally I like to invest in items that can be used ALL of the time ( Impossible right)? I actually don’t prefer shopping at the Madison Avenue store - I haven’t had the best luck finding a nice SA! But because it is the flagship, there are a lot of items out for display to look at, especially all different handbag styles (no B, K, C on display though)

Its a classic design battle between: function vs form, with the C bag. use-ability vs art. No bag is perfect all the time unfortunately. I have the internal struggle with almost all my designer bags. The only issue I have with any Constance is a Constance in Epsom. To me the Constance is the most beautiful bag, and I would never ever in 1 billion million years separate myself from one of my Constance girls😊💕💫 Blazers are in fashion they are very IN, put that pocket square in the pocket of a blazer🤦🏽‍♀️

I don't have many Hermes items, but my best would be the Evelyne bag and the worst would be my H belt (I think it's called the Constance belt). The sizing on mine with the holes is weird and I just don't like how low it sits. I wish I had gotten another hole/smaller size for my waist, but I bought it for jeans. Barely wear it.

It's so nice that you can wear your Oran sandals. I have very narrow and bony feet, so my feet would slide right through them. I opted for the Santorini sandals because the ankle straps help them stay on my feet. Your sunshine yellow Birkin 30 is so pretty! Definitely a nice color that you can wear year round! So sorry to hear about your struggles with the oran sandals! But the santorini are beautiful too 😍 sometimes I struggle with ankle straps because they rub my heels and I blister too much, so I get scared to try new ones 😭 I think the issue with the should straps might have to do more with the shape of your shoulders and your frame than the handbag itself. Of course, there can be some elements of the bag itself that can make this worse, but I say this because I don’t have the rolling off issue as much when I am wearing lighter layers because the bag will actually stay on my shoulders (I have a relatively larger frame for an Asian woman). But the extra layers sort of ‘round out’ my shoulders, which I think makes the straps slip! I hope this makes sense 🤔 so having said that, if you typically have that issue with the Constance or other handbags that are similarly shaped and sized, I think you would continue to have that issue with the Mosaique bag too. Personally I am not considering the 18 size - I have a lot of mini crossbody bags, so I’ll keep the larger 24 and live with the fact that I cannot crossbody it 😉

Yes, that's a great idea! Btw, Katy, GPS has on his channel a video in which he explains how the Hermès Boutiques put those scarves up as a wall decoration (channel name is "I am GPS" 😊). The Constance wouldn't be for me either, simply because 1. it's a shoulder bag, and I prefer top handle bags, 2. it would be to small for my needs. But I can fully understand all your points you mentioned. Loved the video 💞! Oh, right, my best Hermès pieces are the Bastias, I use them a lot, two pieces I just recently added to my collection, the Agenda PM Simple (great if you want to take a small calendar or notebook with you) and the notebook Ulysse Mini, and I also like the Guernesey Cardholder and, since I carry coins, the Portemonnaie 24 (something different like the Bastia, less versatile, it's really meant for carrying coins, but definitely enjoy this item), as well as my Silk'In Compact wallet and Coin Purse (the Coin Purse I use for my earphones or as a little catchall). What I rarely use is a piece many other people rave about: the Calvi cardholder. I suppose I don't have enough cards to fill it up, so it's a little bit "loose", if that makes any sense 🤔. 🤗

So I originally thought I would love the Kelly with top handle and shoulder strap. But I went for the birkin first because I thought the opening would be annoying 🙈 I don’t own a kelly so I can’t say from experience, but I think it could be something I could get used to! At least the bag can rest on my shoulder as I try to close it 💫

@@sarah0098 oh, it can be! Especially when you’re in a rush. It has to be a two handed operation 🤷🏻‍♀️ plus I don’t want to seriously scratch the hardware while I’m closing it, so I have to pay attention to it 😅

New subbie here and LOVE and appreciate your honesty! Love the look of the Birkin but what do you do when you have to go to a public bathroom with that hand held bag? I adore my Hermes punk ring and bracelet-both in rose gold.

Thank you for watching, and welcome! 💕 When visiting a public restroom, I will either ask someone to hold it for me outside, or worst case I will hang it on the hook on the bathroom door. For the occasions I typically carry my Birkin, I know I usually have access to ‘nicer’ public bathrooms if that makes sense! For example, if I’m going on a picnic in the park all day, this probably is not my handbag of choice 😉

The size of your Constance is too big, 18 would be perfect. Epsom is also the problem , it’s not a premium leather. Epsom is too plastic feeling
