Small tip many professional gardeners/weeders use to make life easier: set out a tarp to throw branches/leaves/weeds on. That way you don't have to recollect them all and risk leaving a lil mess behind, you can just fold up the tarp edges and carry it where it needs to go.

The garden looked great after a few hours work. I loved the succulents planted in the old sink. A couple of things that may help you and save time. (1) buy a strimmer. It is an expensive item but a one off expense. You can trim around the edges of the garden in next to no time without having to bend down and use secateurs (which are definitely not made for trimming lawn edges) and it will look a lot neater. (2) buy a Garden waste bag and take it around the garden as you trim and collect leaves etc. They are often made from recycled plastic but if not they are re useable, probably available at places like Poundland or similar. It will save you pulling out leaves and throwing them on the lawn only having to pick them up again. (3) Buy a waterproof cover for your outdoor table. If the chairs fold put them on top and if not tuck them under the table. I think you can even get a cover for the umbrella. You can get these items at hardware stores. It will save having to re varnish them every year.

Our weather here in Idaho has been super crazy, really cold and windy to now super hot and sometimes windy, I have an area I just got cleaned up and will be replacing some pavers that got damaged in the center of it, then onto cleaning up another area and building a pergola and putting some pavers in a large square and that will be where my patio chair will be plus my small grill, I am so excited to finally get this area styled up and you have given me so much inspiration. Thanks Hermione for another great video, I look forward to your next one, take care, sending love and hugs, bye for now.

You are always so sweet in your videos. I am totally into renovating our backyard this year. And despite the weather I am seeing results! We got hit hard here in South Wales (UK). And I live on the seafront so it gets really windy. I mean REALLY windy. So we are restricted what we ca actually do in the yard. But your yard is looking lovely. So cosy and pretty 😍

Hermione - Hello friend. I am enjoying seeing your garden this spring. You did an incredible amount of work. I love watching you working in the garden. It makes me think of my mom. She really had a green thumb. I unfortunately have a brown one. Lol I'm very proud of what you accomplished. Have a lovely evening. Blessings-Judith 🎵🎭

My periwinkle plants (there are two in the garden) have somehow been virulently self-propagating till it's become almost like a weed in the garden. So I dug them all up, potted them and am going to send them as gifts to my friends. 😊

What a beautiful garden you have. So much greenery everywhere. So calming . I have had weather problems here also. We are experiencing a heat wave with steady 90 degree temperatures. I can't stand that kind of heat and its hanging on for days . Waiting for a cool down as there are many things I want to do outdoors. Weather is either too hot or too cold ! lol much love to and nan

That Pittosporum will be awesome for a hedge - just keep it trimmed, they grow really fast here in Australasia, don't know if it will in you climate but considering it looks like it self seeded in your sink and it was decent sized it probably will - if you're not careful you'll have a reasonable sized tree in a few short years. Also did you crush any of the leaves? Do it! They smell amazing, I can't resist grabbing a couple of my plant to crush and smell every time I go past.

Looks gorgeous. Just one thing... You have quite a few plants that will grow to be huge, but there are planted very close together, as if they are just flowers. They might not be getting all the nutrient they need like that. And I know that they take years to grow which would mean you'll have a lot of bold spots but it might be best for them.
