Ok so I don't know if anyone else will think this is funny other than me, but Hermione! The plant you put the "root for yourself" sign in is hysterical to me! It's a grafted plant, that is, the bottom half is a different plant than the top "mermaid tail" bit. Humans stuck them together and fused them. So the root system of the bottom plant isn't actually rooting for itself, it's rooting for its roommate! (potmate?)

I agree, Ruth Goddard! Hermione was talking a while ago about moving to London, but why would she want to move away from gorgeous Isle of Wight and living right next door to her Nan??? They seem to be very close. I guess I wonder because, personally, I am not a fan of big cities. ;) Her house is also so lovely! ♥

😂 when you said about the shop. My mother and grandmother used to drag me day long at the fabric shops (a street long) when I was 5-6-7... I am in sewing school now and can't wait to have money to spend at the fabric shop!

My father used to drag my sister & I to garden centres when we children; we were so bored. Now we love going there, so much so that when they reopened after lockdown, my sister was one of the first through the door!!

My mum was a home economics teacher and I hated going to sewing shops when I was young. I still can’t sew apart from basic things as I’m so impatient although she did try and teach me. Sewing a button on usually involves a lot of swearing 🤬 and blood 🩸 as I usually prick my finger 😂. The lady at the sewing store where I live laughs at me when I go and buy iron on hemming tape as she knows my mum was a teacher 🤣. I can bake well though so at least I learned something.

I am so shocked every time you mention selling the house or moving out. I get really attached to things and the house that we‘ve bought (and live in) was never intended as our forever home, though we can’t afford to buy anything else at the moment anyway, I am already wondering if I can ever leave. I would only move once more if we truly found the perfect home, I long to finally feel like I’ve arrived and never have to move again. But at the same time I think it’s so cool that you won’t limit yourself in this way and can let go of the house, since it was always an investment for you anyway. Also it would be kind of cool to see you buy another old, dusty house and make it as beautiful as this one. It’s just a great process to watch.

Just came to say I'm exactly the same as you. I get way too attached. Our current house needed lots of TLC (though nothing too major) and after all the effort we put into making it a home that we love and represents who we are, I find it hard to imagine leaving it behind! As long as our family doesn't grow bigger than the current plan, I think we'll be fine here for the foreseeable...

I so don't think your style is "millenial dorm room dumpster pile" - so harsh! lol. I think your style is just evolving to a more grown style and more refined style. It's ok for style to evolve. I LOVE what you do and showing that your style changes is part of that. I looked at the place I lived in 3 years ago and it was totally different to what I like now.
