A ZX Spectrum - but not as you know it.
This video is about the Hermit Retro Spectrum ZX Zero Board kit. The board is more than just a breakout board for the Raspberry Pi. The kit includes a secondary SD card slot, full sized HDMI output, additional USB, I2C port (i2c.info) and joystick support. The board is a custom design but will fit into original or reproduction ZX Spectrum cases and ZX Spectrum Plus cases.
You can purchase a kit from: www.hermitretro.com/zxzero.html
However at the time of publication the Kit with a RaspberryPi is out of stock (due to the world wide chip/Raspberry Pi shortage). I purchased the kit without the Pi as I had a few spares at home.
The Spectrum is powered by the Free Unix Spectrum Emulator (FUSE)
For more info about either Hermit or Fuse please take a look at the documentation online.
* This video is not sponsored by Hermit Retro - but thanks Alastair for the great kit! *
** Please excuse the rain noise - the joys of having a loft based KZbin channel! **
** Yes I had a couple of other sound/dubbing issues **
*** At least it's only costing you time to view it!! ***
