I'm really liking this relaxing, slow-paced type of hermitcraft videos. They are really focusing on hermit interactions that is putting emphasis on their friendship within the server. It is really refreshing in contrast to endless grind to building mega bases, well for the first few episodes at least.

i like that the vibe of season 10 is indirectly caused by grian and scar. they blew up doc's tunnel bore, leading to the buttercups vs goat war. impulse talked about it in his podcast with skizz that when the hermits gathered to cover up the perimeter, they just talked for hours and rekindled their joy of collaboration and just having a chill time together. doc mentioned it in his video that even iskall joined in a proud dad voice lol. at this time iskall was taking a break but the project of covering up the perimeter & hanging out with other hermits made him come back briefly LMAO. so S10 is just a very nice culmination of hermits having fun together which is a win honestly, the vibe is immaculate

But then I watched everybody's first episodes and I know for a fact I'm going to be watching 10 hermits, 3 more than my usual (albeit two of them are Skizz and Joel) but I've also got 3 more hermits in my peripheral that I'm gonna watch a few more eps of and then decide. Maybe a fourth one there too. So at most, I'll follow along the pov of 14 members out of the 27.

The floating fish remind me of that beautiful picturebook: "The mermaid moon" A child and a mermaid become friends and on a very special day, she and all the fish in the ocean, can swim through the air as if it were water and go visit the child and the villiage. To minimize lag for the lights in the light house- you could add glow lichen or sculk vein. You can put them on shroom lights or frog lights to straighten their glow. 💡

I love the pallet you picked for the rocks! Does a pretty good job of showing the natural weathering of a tidal point and the salt marks. I also love the use of mangrove leaves they look so much more like the algal mats and seaweed that washes ashore and ends up in the wrack. The lighthouse is super awesome too. At night, boats are warned by the light, but during the day, lighthouses are red and white stripes because they attract the eye. Also in Canada, for historical reasons, all lighthouses are maintained, funded, and regulated at the federal level - even though most of the country is landlocked (although we do have a dozen sea-sized lakes).

Fun Facts about light houses: Did you know that in the year 2000 is when they the government pass the slip to sell lighthouses to people from Realtors who want to buy a “home” (because no one was buying then or living there, then sold 70 lighthouses upon that same year) upon signing you are obligated to now call for or to do maintenance on the lighthouse (as your responsibility)

I love the idea of bringing the river and sea out of the water and into the air like it’s a region filled with mystery and wonder! This reminded me of a video I’ve seen of an area that frequently floods and so there’s certain times when there will be full grassy field and even bridges underwater. That feels like it would be right at home in this beautiful and bizarre seaside base you’re building. Oh! I love this concept, wait, what if you blurred the landscapes together so when you’re under water you still feel like you could be on land and when on the shore, still under the water!
