a mouse's home is a hole in a log his doorstep is a pebble, his table is a button. his waistcoat is sewn with spiders silk his bed is of rabbit's fleece. he warms his house with a single with a match-head and his supper each day is a crumb of bread. the coziness of his abode rivals only one a little man with a tinier home the humble hermit crab. I've never written a poem like this before so I hope it's good! I wasn't sure where I was going with the rhyming scheme but it was a fun exercise.

And all we can do now is try to not mourn the life that we haven't planned. We don't earn enough for a house. We'd be lucky renting an apartment. How do I ask my future spouse: "How about something like a compartment?" And yes it hurts having nothing. When we don't even have much ground to roam. But I will always know one thing; Who I'm holding is my Tinier Home.

to make it tinier we must first determine its fundamental elements. home is where the heart is. what constitutes the heart? relationships with our beloved people, places, things, animals. what's within a loving relationship? a transcendent bond greater than the sum of its parts... what makes up those bonds? bosons? a tinier home is when one particle loves another very much
