I love the weapon system I would suggest using all tools in the system and base it off of damage per tool I would also suggest using bow and arrow and a cross bow with either arrows or rockets and also make a legendary chest with enchanted swords and crossbows that have a ton of rockets with them. I would also suggest for the map to put a maze in one section and also make a section that moves up in down with pistons. You could also give them resources in the boxes to make a arrow launcher or a TNT cannon if you wanted just my ideas though

For your game Iskall. I think it would be great if the exit to your teams base was also the way you re-equipped your standard gear (if applicable here). Like the door was filled with fence, pressure plate, dispensers so that your character was auto-forced to equip it as you were rejoining the fight. Also, you should have a hopper minecart running under the whole arena. Of course it wouldn’t catch everything and might be redundant if the stuff is dirt cheap to begin with but that’s an idea.

Cobble gen in the team base, keep players back with no advancements and allows one player to defend or mine rather then 2 (defending the miner mid arena) this also means one team could rush and take a flag as one mines the cobble.

Etho built a catch the flag type game on the mindcrack server years ago. He used beacons as the flags and players had to stand on a pressure plate for so long in order to capture it (beacon would then change colour based on the team who captured it). You may want to take a look

i have a suggestion for the pvp game. remember that there was that natural lava pool in the middle. (at 14:11 ) how about a deathpit with a diagonal dirt/rock arch over it? so players could knock eachother off and into the deathpit, aswell as having a raised midpoint as highground. (and add hoppers to the deathpit so that the items are'nt lost)

If I may say something about that minigame: lock the flags away, the arena is so small that flags are likely to be taken immediately. Instead unlock the enemy flags for taking by paying cobble or killing enemies. Should be easy to implement for you.

My brother and I invented a pvp mini game in survival called dirt wars. What we’d do is we would start with a certain amount of dirt, build to a certain y level (you can build higher but not lower), have a day to build a base with your resources and at the end of the day, you fight to the death using wooden swords, no armour and bows, with dirt being the only block you place. The catch was that we’d use the same arena every time without cleaning up from last time, with the winner allowed to chose where they set up first. This meant we could expand on the last base and after like 20 games (which we would genuinely play in one sitting), one person could have an enormous dirt base in the sky

My suggestions for the game: 1. You could add secret traps to the game so that the players not only have to be careful against the other team but also to their surroundings. 2. Add layers/floors to the battlefield to make it seem bigger (If you think the field you have now feels small). 3. You could also make the battlefield in a darker setting so that players could hide better (like a closet, tall grass, or vines) and not just hide behind obstacles to make the players be more attentive to their surroundings. This is all I could think of right now that would make it seem more unique plus I can't wait for Sahara to be open for business.
