The unique thing about this server was that, even though it was created around 1.8-1.12 (I think) it was set in BETA, and it frequently got updates so it would catch up with current Minecraft. It was made to sort of show the evolution of Minecraft in the long run. Also before Evo, Grian and many other team members had just left Minecraft Survival due to the introduction of Creative mode, so Evo was also made to brush up people's Survival skills.
