To help with the illusion of the train tunnel, you could dig back a bit more and use a dark (or fading to dark) fog effect with glass.

I loved this video. Awesome one False! As a suggestion to the 'watch tower' with the balcony, I really love the idea of it belonging to the rich people, so I think a dome top and kind of a rounder outside (maybe leave the openings/walkways to all four directions wide open, and just put in like three to five blocks, kind of curved, as the corners) would look great as a part of the 'rich people tower'. So yeah, those would be my thoughts on the watch tower. PS. I think a round-ish shape for it would also set it apart from the 'lower class town' because those buildings are mostly blocky and square-y

For the guard post, an option you could consider is building a small turret that juts out over the inner perimeter, that way it doesn't break up the clean walkway and could even have some lore behind as it would allow the guards to watch the citizens in the lower class town below.

I've stayed at a few fancy hotels and they always have several restaurants, spas, clothing stores, jewelry stores, ect... so you could have those in the train station. The NYC train station has several similar things so it makes sense

Really nice design for the train and tunnel, False. For the guard tower, perhaps a World War 2 style bunker/dugout type of thing? Low and sturdy/bulky, rather than tall. You could also bring the wall beneath it out a bit further and make a hollowed out interior for the barracks or a prison.

Trains can totally be futuristic and awesome. Check out Snowpiercer, staring Captain America, for starters. Also there are some good futuristic prison movies that always start with transporting the prisoner via train to the facility. Both Doom 3 and Quake 4 feature some sweet futuristic industrial trains. There's lots of potential for a futuristic train.

hey false! an idea for your trainstation... since you need to ACTUALLY travel a long distance with it, while having the illusion of actually being usable... why dont you put a nether portal in the train? then rebuild a COBBLE tunnel through the nether with your train design in it, to another portal, where you can then exot into another trainstation wherever you are trying to go? it will help with design, and also practicality with effectively cutting the travel time?

you could put something like a long bench on the other side of the chairs and tables using quartz stairs to make it look more like the modern bullet trains(tube)... and use endrods for standing poles and maybe hand rails on top of the minecart rails. it would also light up the cars better from the inside and it would look illuminated... ^^

Looks really good! I think maybe some dark maybe black glass panes might look good instead of the bars- especially if you are doing the rich-poor divides on the outers rims, the iron bars could be better for the poor side. I think a cafe would be good on the train station, if it is for the rich people they would be more likely to have time to relax there.
