Oh well, it was a fun watch nonetheless, which I think is the biggest takeaway here. So Doc, if Grian ever makes a new barge quest, I'd love to see you participate. Maybe with Etho or Beef but I wouldn't complain if you're partnered with neither of them. Looking forward to your new episode later as always :-).

It’s funny because Ren prob actually came out on top for the barge quest as he had already lost all of his netherite armor, which Grian later gives Ren as part of the “insurance.” Meaning if you calculate his part of the 2nd place prize, a full episodes worth of content, and a set of fully enchanted nether it’s armor, he definitely came out on top.

I watched every other perspective first and while I thought that Bdubs and Scar were super scrappy and pulled through... after seeing you kill that wither like a boss facing it for the first time in your minecraft career, I felt really bad for you, Ren! I know Grian didn't explicitly make a rule against stealing the star, but it does feel extremely unfair that Rendog did all the work, and they didn't get the win just because Grian didn't think to mention *before* he summoned the withers that you only need to get one star back to the barge in order to win. They were clearly too distracted by the ongoing fight to see Grian's message about that, and having watched Grian's video too, I don't remember him telling them before the fight that they only needed one either. It just doesn't seem right that the only team to actually beat one of the withers *didn't* get the first place prize. That seems to be rewarding leaching off the hard work of others rather than minecraft skill.

If you've watched the other teams video, their teamwork was flawless as well! They gave eachother items when one was lacking (BDubs gave Scar his only elytra and gave Scar the pleasure of winning with no hesitation) they communicated well, and BDubs continued to cheer Scar up despite him feeling as if he was inadequate! While I agree Ren definitely was better at the technical aspects of the game, they were very evenly matched in terms of teamwork. Scar's team didn't really show amazing sportsmanship like Ren did, but it wasn't horrible either.
