Hermitcraft 9 Episode 6: Did I Go OVERBOARD On This?!

Hermitcraft season 9 episode 6! We start out big with our Minecraft let's play ep 6 on the Hermitcraft 9 server with a massive starter treehouse base. The design of the survival base will be elven-themed. Once we complete the treehouse, I'll build my dream Minecraft build.
In today's episode, we build a mega containership to house the villager trading hall and all of its Redstone machines that Grian, Tango, and I are building together. The design of the ship is a cargo ship with all the villagers inside with the Raid farm above it. Also, we met up with Zed to achieve the longest Minecraft death messages ever in Minecraft. @@gregb7881 The raid farm autosorts the totems, emeralds, redstone, glowstone, and sticks. There's a couple of double chests full of totems right on the end of the raid farm sorter.

Scar is easily one of the MOST DEDICATED Hermits, also I absolutely love how the ship turned out, it brings back some of the OG Minecraft vibes and is a total hit! Also did Scar notice that he put the drop hole from the Raid Farm directly into the burn chute?

That chute is actually for the raid farm drops. There are sorters for all the items it can drop and it burns everything else, so that's why Scar was burning his items--they weren't items normally dropped by the farm.

The items go through a filtered storage system to pick out the valuables, with the remaining junk being fed to the flames. That's what the ice path is for. That part automatically loads up shulkers of loot, such as of emeralds and redstone. Tango went out and got hundreds of shulker boxes to run the system. I'd suggest watching his video too!

Pillagers I believe only spawn on grass/dirt so the only thing that he needs to change is the dry dock border. Could be wrong there, but also by the look of it most of the ship is slaps so it should be regular mob proofed too!

I agree, Secret Fools was absolutely a great deal of fun! I haven't been very motivated to watch a ton of Hermitcraft lately, and I know that's not the Hermits' faults, but I watched SO many Secret Fools episodes. Personally I think it had a lot to do with the collaboration. It felt super natural to watch one episode and be like 'Hey, I need to see the person they pranked's reaction' and then go on to watch a ton of people's videos from there. Plus, it didn't seem to actually require people to be on the server at the same time, which is often difficult to schedule, but rather the opposite. Genius way to get someone who only watches one Hermit to watch a bunch of others!

Hi Scar! I am currently studying Naval Architecture and i was very excited when i see you build a ship. Here’s my thoughts and opinion of your ship, from a naval architecture student perspective. 1. You referred this ship as a cargo ship. Cargo ship is a term to describe any ship carrying non-passenger load, so this term includes tanker ships, bulk carriers, and of course, general cargo ship. I think your ship falls into a general cargo ship category. General cargo ship itself usually carries break-bulk cargo and containers. Such vessels have several large openings in the deck to access the cargo holds called hatches, which is currently not present at all at your ship. 2. For the ship’s main dimensions, your ship looks a bit short to me. This is due to the lack of poop deck, which is a deck built in the rear part of the ship. The location of the funnel is correct, but ship’s funnel are located on top of the machinery space of the ship. Looking at the shape of the ship’s hull, i think a machinery space would be too big for the space below the ship’s funnel. By the way, you did a splendid job building the ship’s hull. Other than the lack of space for the machinery, the shape of your hull is very good. It has a pretty accurate bulbous bow as well. 3. As for the ship’s outitting, the windlass (the anchor engine) are spot on, but general cargo ships have cranes or derricks installed onboard. The ship’s outfitting usually falls into the detailing part of a minecraft ship build, so having a windlass and a greatly designed anchor are already a win for me, but cranes or derricks on a general cargo ship is a must and i can’t overlook that side.

Scar plays minecraft in a way I never could. The chest monster, the roaming around with 2 hearts left, the rather carefree jumping into ledges and slamming into things while flying... Sometimes it drives me nuts watching him. But he's also pure genius at minecraft. His building, especially terraforming, is pure insanity. And his humor is great. Amazing video as always! Made me laugh so much, and that ship tho. :O But yeah: man, I LOVED Secret Fools. I normally don’t like April Fool’s Day as it’s just full of creators and corporations alike, trying to trick you with made up “announcements” and stuff. But the Hermits Secret Fools was so sweet and wholesome to watch. The mini games, the mega builds, the wholesome collabs and ghast conservations. Having it be both consensual and non-mandatory, plus being done in true Hermits-helping-Hermits fashion, where you know everyone is ready to help rebuild/tear-down pranks if needs be. Just so super wholesome and fun, I loved it so much; absolutely made my week. :’)c THIS is how I want all April Fools to be, and not only would I love to see it again next year in Hermitcraft itself, but I’d love if other creators outside of Hermitcraft too took note of how you all did things. The Bull-Bus Bow: The Bull-Buss Bow is a massive 'thing' put at the end of massive ships to allow it to go faster, and be more efficient. You could put it on any type of ship, but most container ships have one so that shipping is faster and more efficient. How it Works: The Bull-Bus Bow works by when water is passing by the ship, and it's cutting through the water, the water line and prop line each makes the moving lees efficient. With a B.B.B (Bull-Bus Bow), it helps CANCEL Out both lines when they meet. As I keep repeating this is an easy was to make a ship more efficient, and make it more eco-friendly. (I hope this makes sense, as I'm talking, as I like to call, 'Boat Terms')

Nope. If "whilst trying to escape" is used, the name of the weapon is omitted, making it shorter (+23 but -50) The longest message is indeed the one they got.
