Run 18 was So good ! As long as you don’t trigger pressure plates and not blind you are basically invisible to wardens. In blindness they will try to sniff you out but that’s it. Don’t lose that composure and you Got this !!!

I think it's too fast and on top of that, he's made it much more (by comparison to what it was) unforgiving. The berry bushes are ok, but he needs to slow it back down. I think frost ember drops were busted in Run 18. So much treasure on Floor 2 and 3 but no frost embers AT ALL

Suggestion - if you go down to floor 2, and no treasure card has played yet, it's probably actually smart to just sit still and wait for a treasure card to play, or wait until you hear a ding of a random treasure event. Yes, it's possible you *could* miss treasure because a random event could go off which doesn't happen to trigger any droppers close enough for you to hear, but I'd say that's really unlikely and sitting still instead of running around will save you a few clank and some food and health.

Suit up is such a good card. It makes the dungeon more forgiving and since you take less damage per hit, and you have less to regen, it makes the food better too!

Although tomes are clearly important, I think in the first run you could have sold that suit up to doc for potentially more than 4 tomes worth of value, unless things have changed since his last uploads - it seems like doc was a bit envious of etho and cub getting the card, while he didn't get it in the shop on any of his high ember deadly runs. I haven't seen things live though, so idk if he has it already.

I think Sprint might be a really underrated card, and maybe would have even been worth it more than the nimble looting card at the end? Considering Cub has >50 crowns and never really has issues with keys I wouldn’t be concerned with increasing treasure anymore, right? If you get the sprint card, that’s 60 seconds of potential escapability as well as you could just perma-sneak w/o having to go super slow. Would help save on clank

1:00:51 Not sure but you see two calibrated sensors fire off as you start to go down the ladder. In a previous run I think I saw the same 34:05. Granted this first case is inconclusive because there is a narrow window where Cub's hazard block is down. However, you 100% had that ladder get blocked off with hazard block queued up for sure during run 17. My guess is that Tango changed that ladder from a hazard trap to just a trap that make it a one way trip down that closes off once you make noise climbing down the ladder. The other remote possibility is that bit of hazard is malfunctioning and blocked you off twice in a stroke of bad luck. Assuming the former it was devious of him to do that. Also, with all your crowns why not invest in Tactical Approaches as well? They seem really good for your deck to further assist with deadly. Great runs Mr. Cubfan. It is very enjoyable to watch you surgically make your way through the dungeon.

@Waffles17643 it's best to spend your time looting on the level that your artifact is on or the one above that. Anytime spent on level 1 is just to get a key, and the coins alone aren't worth any clank that early on. All depends on cards played though

I can't say for certain, and to my knowledge, Tango hasn't shown it on screen, but i'm pretty sure that ladder on level 3 is hooked up to block when you go through or maybe to the shrieker just below the ladder, so it's always a one way trip.

I would had "bought" the Suit up for trading, before tango neff it, guess you aleast would get 2 shards for it without cheating anybody, because its a really op card from what i seen, 3 warden blast at full health, an all the willie hits, it would help alot of players to have in thier deck.

I think some people like Cub and Etho have now reached a place, where the only thing stopping them from having infinite runs is the refresh timer of the shop. I think sooner or later Tango will have to intervene somehow, though how to do that without punishing those with weaker decks is difficult to say. Maybe there should be a limit on how many shards you can buy per week and per player from the shop (maybe take them out of the shop and let players trade them directly from Tango so that he can keep track). Would also have the added benefit, that more of the other shop items get bought. Or the dungeon needs to become more difficult, though personally i think suit up is part of the problem, as it is a bit too strong. Its major downside is the added clank, but it also trivializes clank, as it generally allows you to tank enough hits from vex to get out.

That’s how it was in Decked out 1 where etho ended up having infinity runs and couldn’t use it all before the game shut down. There’s no way to “fix” buying runs. You can’t nerf specific people because they’re too good. You can see the other hermits just suck when they don’t even run deadly.

Greatly disagree with taking the tomes over the Dungeon Repairs. You can pick up tomes on _any_ run now, but the Dungeon Repairs not only has to pop up, but you have to have the embers for it. Hazards blocking you off has consistently been a problem for you in these runs.

I assume that your question is "how did he get 4 ember drops in the dungeon even though ember seeker gives only 2 embers?" Every ember you see on the map, sends out a signal to ALL the ember droppers. Each dropper has a chance of dropping embers. It's not that each ember on the map equals the total number of drops on the dungeon. The embers on the map only says "this is how many times EVERY ember dropper in the dungeon is going to attempt to drop an ember" So, every ember you see on the map, could still give NO embers, or could literally give 20 embers. It's all RNG

Hey cub, Towards the end, I dont understand the reasoning behind buying another nimble looting. As far I've noticed, you're doing really well on treasure loot. You're accumulating so many crowns and coins and you're only being limited by time and not drops coz most of the times you're bailing oit of the dungeon only coz you're about to hit max clank and not coz you dont have trasure drops. So i dont understand how another nimble looting helps.

Part of me feels buying runs is a little unhealthy for decked out as semi-competitive game. In most of the runs you were doing you got more crowns than the cost of a shard. It kind of negates the auto-balancing Tango has of people ahead in points get less runs because they are just able to buy more runs than the people who are behind and get more total runs that are higher value. Increasing the cost of runs in the shop doesn't really change this outcome because it just increases the gap of additional runs bought between players. I feel as though Tango should remove the ability to buy shards from the shop and increase the baseline shard distribution by 3-4 shards, and maybe add some stipulation about trading for shards, as it seems like a couple people got swindled in trades before.

@@EpicK910 Oh I agree, absolutely. I want more competition....and, of course, more content, more runs! Unfortunately, Tango can lead them to the water, but he can't make them drink it. There's not enough "leveling of the playing field" possible to advantage those who refuse to try. I do agree, however, that the shard trading should somehow be discouraged. A first step towards that would be for Tango to stop dishing out free shards to those who we all know isn't going to run them.

The main thing with trading shards is a lot of people don't seem to value shards highly enough for the cards they trade for, due to them having a lot. I'd say maybe some "rule" that shards are worth a minimum amount, like a mid-ember cost uncommon card is worth 1 shard, either that or Tango would have to be present to ensure the trade is fair, but that feels like too much micromanagement. I feel like false and hypno could catch up if etho and cub get less shards to start with as they're doing similar in terms of performance on higher difficulty runs. Doc could also catch up if he cared about getting tomes. The main issue is all 3 of them are too far behind in points that by the time they also start being positive in terms of crown income they are just too far behind in points to reasonably catch up. It is Tango's game and if he's fine with where things are though I don't mind. Decked out is fun to watch at all skill levels and it's cool to see everyone's approaches.
