xisuma, I was asking myself something when seeing one of your videos about the wood farm. is it posible to give an enderman a block? I know they have a limited amount of blocks they can spawn holding, but is posible to enforce a block to be hold by them (I know commands can do it, but that beats the point). if it could be done, you could make a little cage inside a standard wood farm and maybe make a full automatic wood farm (altough you would need to know how often an enderman puts down a block. dont know if they can also be forced to do it). this could even apply to all farm that need a block to be placed, like mud. I would try to make experiments, but my computer is shit xD.

Oh, this gave me an idea. Have you played Fable: The Lost Chapters? There was a minigame of shooting moving targets with a bow. It would be totally possible to re-create it! Make a golem move back and forth, and at the ends make these holding chambers where a minecart can pick up mobs. So once one mob is down, another one will be picked up. And with waterlogged rails, it would be possible to give minecarts different speeds. Hmmm, I might try it soon.

For the snow golem minigame you could also add multishot crossbows and have the player decide if they think they will get more kills with multishot or piercing each time since sometimes the golems just won't line up. Might also be good to have some kind of checkerboard pattern on the floor so players can use strategy by getting to understand the angles. Food for thought, yummy.
@johnmillerpere_grin63712 жыл бұрын
A multishot crossbow could hit only up to 3 golems, while a piercing crossbow could hit up to 5. EDIT: I forgot to mention that the two enchantments are incompatible, i.e., a crossbow can have either piercing or multishot, but not both unless you /give yourself a crossbow with both enchantments.
@ItsMiliBerry2 жыл бұрын
@@johnmillerpere_grin6371 This is true, but there may be some situations in which hitting 5 in a line is not possible but hitting 3 spread out is, which adds an element of strategy. Especially if the amount of golems is not a multiple of 5 so hitting 5 with every shot might not be the play. Also I was suggesting having 2 different crossbows, one with piercing and the other with multishot so it wouldn't matter that the 2 aren't compatible on one crossbow.

I good way I’ve seen some people do that hidden advancement is putting all mobs in a hole, and usually trying to pick specific mobs that won’t add difficulty, like how the horse is pretty strong and regens, and having a wolf could kill an easy sheep, getting a cat or fox would kill a chicken or rabbit you might have. But I love that you could do it with a player I hadn’t considered that. Very fun advancement, every player could find their own way to make it work

13:47 in Spirit Tracks, theres a section of the game, the Pirates Hideout, that you use the bow, and if youre there once you have the bow of light and charge it, the bow of light will do piercing damage to the miniblins, similar to a crossbow with piercing 4, so you could, in theory, set up a similar system, except probably with the enemies of choice, probably snow golems, staying still, rather than the minecart track youre on or the 2 beside you, though simply removing enemies being on the center rail with you does technically work as well, but moving the enemies infront of the player instead of behind might be needed to also work in minecraft

Player that goes second gets a bonus 1.5 kills to their score to break ties and account for the first player shooting. Game continues until there are no golems left. Add some double pistons with sand on top and a randomizer to shift up the layout of obstacles when players start the game? This will add repayability.

So the snow golem game could go a little like this “Solem Golem: a game where you and your opponent try to eliminate the most golems leaving the rest to solemnly witness the others demise.” You could do a dueling system where each has their own side and every head dropped is another point either leading to a high score or just the most heads win. Each snowball dropped can be cycled to shoot at the opponent through a dispenser causing them to loose focus. Maybe have a score board for hermit high scores?

Listen, it's been years since I've played, but what about 2 rows of Snow Golems in mine carts, perhaps each track moving at a different pace, and a "secret" worth more points derp faced one somewhere in the mix too? You could do the snowman minigame opposite of how you thought. A challenge to kill them using as many arrows as possible, but a miss gives you a game over. Thus, if you kill on average 3 on each shot you get 5 points because 15/3=5 so you used 5 arrows. while if you kill 1 golem on each shot you can gain a maximum of 15 points. However if you miss you stop. So if you hit with your first 7 arrows, then miss you get 7 points.

Thoughts on the golem game: Snowman creation can be automated with piston feed tapes and dispensers. You can have a magazine of golems that continue to spawn till it runs out and the most snowballs wins. Resets would be quick, craft the snow blocks and reload the feed tapes.

Snow Clearing Game: Maybe make it a point system. 1 pt per snowball 2 pts per head 3 pts if you finish clearing your pen first 4 pts per arrow you have left afterwards Collect all the drops and feed it into a lantern point counter. This would be mostly luck based, but carefree and fun I think.: This got me thinking... what about a game like pool/8 ball using piercing? The white ball is your snow golem. You have to aim at/through the snow golem. Then you try to kill a mob (the colored balls) and get your arrow to hit a target black (the pockets).

Since the clear-out-the-snow-golems minigame (tentative suggestion for a name: "Snow Plow") is a two-player competition, maybe make it a race to see who clears them out first. Use whichever pressure plates only mobs can activate (not snowball entities), or use hoppers to collect the snowball entities so they can't hold the plates down, and have whichever pen winds up with no snow golems in it first be the winner. The pressure plates, obviously, trigger some sort of latch that only the first circuit with no input can turn on its victory light. This means they're encouraged to take aim as fast as possible. If you want instead to do it with as few arrows as possible, it doesn't need to be head-to-head. Instead, you can have the game be that they get one arrow at a time, and collecting the arrow drops a protective wall around the golem pen, which stays down for a limited time. Whether they take the shot or not, it counts as one of their arrows. Then, they collect another arrow and that triggers the wall dropping again, until the golems are gone.
