I like thinking about the behind the scenes stuff. These are all real people, who've known each other for years, they're all friends and impulse and skizz have been doing the KZbin thing as a team for a long time, they are very good friends. Surely he was a huge advocate for skizz being the new hermit. So impulse got one of his best friends into the server, died, and then immediately killed him. That's friendship right there

I like Skizz a lot, but Grian is a huge personality that is willing to take charge, and has lots of fun ideas. He was able to bring Hermitcraft together more with his events. I don’t know a ton about Skizz, really just Life Series and Phasmo on Grian’s channel, but making a build inspired by Maslow’s Pyramid just feels Right and totally fits the wholesome vibe I’ve always gotten, so I’m now subbed and excited to see how it turns out!

SKIZZ!! It’s so amazing to see you officially on hermitcraft oh my goodness and starting such an AMAZING base idea!! I’m a psychology scholar so a base based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is SO EXCITING TO ME!! There are so so many comments here so I doubt you’ll actually see this but if you I’d love to give you a little bit of food for thought for your design; Maslow’s hierarchy is actually extremely reflective of his time with the Blackfoot Nation (an indigenous North American tribe). They had their own theory of a person’s needs organised in a similar pyramid but they placed things very differently! Most notably self-actualisation was only just above physical necessities and seen as a foundation for community actualisation and collective wellbeing!! Maslow never acknowledged publicly how much his theory was likely based off the Blackfoot Nation’s due to eurocentrism in academia so it’s a much lesser known history and concept! If you feel like researching it I really recommend it! Even if you don’t include it on this base!! Can’t wait to see what you get up to!!

I once dreamt I’d joined Hermitcraft, but all I could build was 7x7 cobble and oak houses and got exposed as a fraud, so the hermits kicked me out. I literally dreamed my imposter syndrome!!
