I love the way etho makes his builds. He seems to grow them rather than build them, and he always picks such fun colors and blocks. His season 7 base (my personal favorite) has got to be one of the coolest example of that so far.

I'm defo looking too deep into it, but I genuinely feel like his build is reflecting his eager and drive to get back into the game again after everything he's had to deal with over the past year or two. It's nice and peaceful compared to the chaotic and funky vibes from the past two bases he's made in hermitcraft (which were beautiful and van-sway in their own right lol), which genuinely feels like a fresh start for both him and the audience.. needless to say, I'm looking forward to this season 😂

imo, i think the theme of this season is community. a lot of the hermits are interacting more then they used to, and with a lot of people in nice tight knit groupings, it's bound to happen. I hope a lot of the more illusive hermits stick around a little bit longer this season, because its been fun seeing them interact with people outside of their little social group.

Etho is such a sleeper of a builder. I don't think very many people consider him a builder, but he consistently makes some of the most jaw dropping builds on the server

​@@decomposedcorpse5186There's no point in comparing them because those other builders are great at building large scale projects, while Etho is more macro scale. He puts detail into the smallest things, and is great at picking color palettes that most people wouldn't think of. Etho is an amazing builder, but in a different way than the people you mentioned. If your requirement for "a great builder" is "can build really big structures" then it doesn't take that much to be a great builder lol. The difference is that Etho doesn't *like* building that much. He likes having a good looking base, but he only begrudgingly builds stuff because he wants it to look nice on top of his mechanical stuff like redstone and farms. He finds building to be boring, and so both doesn't do it often, and when he does he tends to skip over large portions of it in his videos.

They are very close this season, Tango's base can see both of their areas. Their are about 13 hermits all in close proximity around this mountain. 7 are part of the mountain faction. Zed is a neighbor but not sure in what direction. Etho, Tango, Cub, and Pearl surround the lake south of the mountain. And Doc's village is southeast of Pearls base. (Edge of render distance from the top of her hill) So much potential for collabs this season.

I like how the monstrosity in S7 helped develop your building style. What started out as an "easy to spam" style quickly turned into a pretty in depth color theory experiment (or a tutorial I'd like to call it because it opened my eyes to the possibility of most minecraft blocks.) Thanks to that, we are blessed with such a gorgeously vibrant build right off the bat in S10. I'm excited to see what you can achieve in this season that isn't just limited to building. After all free glass wasn't related to building and I was all for it if you know what I mean :P Thank you for the video!

I think a great goal for the season would be to shake off the "Washed up" joke. Retrain in the ways of PVP and pranks. Can't wait to see what happens this season.

He shook that up pretty much in the Decked Out last season. I remember one of his later runs a lot of the Hermits already said something akin to hes not washed up anymore. I mean not that anyone ever thought seriously of Etho as washed up anyways.

I really like the glowstone lamps! Its a big contrast in colors and people dont use glowstone as much anymore because of the 'prettier' light sources available, made me really happy to see a glowstone block texture being used lol

That's one of the most beautiful builds I've ever seen! The build palette is so unique, and at the same time it has a lot of the elements that make an Etho build an Etho build. I can't wait to see how it turns out when the rest is complete, but from what we've seen so far, this one is really special.

Etho, I absolutely adore the colour choices you make every time for your base, and I just want to remind you that when they added the chiseled bookshelves they textured it to look like the beehive, so you can use that in the base too with more shapes but the same colours. =]
