Regarding your missing string mystery: a few weeks back Cub noticed that a small area of the orange concrete powder in his desert behind your mountain got converted to concrete and it was in the same general path as all your string. I'd make a sizable bet that someone used a bucket of water at or near the top of your mountain that washed away all your string and made orange concrete.

You can use "Big Pumpkin Dude" as a shop year round. For Christmas you can put a Santa hat and white beard on him, a red heart hat for Valentine's. Dress him up for the different seasons and sell the matching hat.

It happened for me... When I first tried making a house myself, by following Grian's building school series, without any help of a block by block tutorial, it was so hard. I had so many failed attempts on a flat world, like 5-6 buildings that just end up looking like big boxes connected to each other, I just couldn't work out a roof that would look good on the big scale of the build I was making, then, I just gave up. Later, tried again, and again, failed, failed, one day, passed. I was successful, I made a build that had a good roof, looked decent. I was so happy.. Here I am now, A builder in minecraft, inspired by hermitcraft. Just by watching the hermits, I was able to accomplish my dream....

Fifi is so precious!! Scariest cyclops are the ones with unfulfilled dreams. And all those hermit trick or treaters at impulse's base were just perfect! That spider totally looked like a brown recluse to me, scary indeed. You could make the area where the pumpkin shop is (if you're not gonna use it for your mega base) a seasonal shop. So if you wanted to make a winter game/festive hat shop, it'd take over the space. Although the pumpkin is really cute, so maybe you'd just build it somewhere else, but a rotating stock would be a good way to either earn a few diamonds or have fun with the other hermits.
