So you got the golden armor and the shield effect cards. You could make it so the shield card blocks all effect card damage used against a hermit with it equipped while keeping the 10 less damage the opposing hermit does with their attack. An example would be, you have a hermit with 230 hp with the shield equipped. The opponent uses a TNT and also does 100 dmg. with their hermit, totaling in 160 dmg. As the shield is now all it would do is cancel 10 dmg get discarded and bring your hermit to 80 hp. As the shield would be as I propose, it would cancel the TNT dmg, and still cancel the 10 dmg, bringing your hermit down to 140. This proposed change would make the shield effect card unique from other cards while still being 'common' and also maybe actually worth having in a deck as it can do as such for every dmg. effect card that isn't the axe and/or if it's used by the rare XB card with the same effect as the axe, thus making the rare XB a little better as 70 dmg. is not the best, but negating what could be an annoying common card could be worth it. Also, it kind of makes sense that shield could negate most effect cards and 10 dmg. I hope I described that alright. For the Golden armor, IDK have it absorb anywhere from 30 to 50 dmg, while keeping it's common status and still get discarded, I recall you having it 20 but I'm not sure :/ Either way great game :)

The dispenser in the shop will not deliver a token 4/9 times, but 1/9 times, since all the tokens are stacked in one slot. If you do want 4/9 you should only have 5 hermits and every other slot should have at least 1 token. You could also rig up a dispenser underneath that is also triggered by the button so the top dispenser automatically refills with new cards and tokens! Edit: minecraft works by selecting one slot at random from the dispenser, no matter how many items are in that slot. The fact that there are 4 tokens in one slot doesn't make it any different than if there were only 1 when it comes to which slot the game decides to dispense. Edit 2: yes, if one of the rare cards gets dispensed then the probability changes, which is why I also proposed hooking up a different dispenser underneath, powered by the same button but with a delay, to restock the main dispenser automatically

No extra chance added for each drop besides the slot count for dispensers. So for example if you were to empty the dispenser, this is an example of what can come out and the probability for those events. It would be easier to have a floating Bdubs Rare since his first move is an 'any item' slot so you could treat him as a false redstone card instead; he may not be able to use his special move but he wouldn't be completely useless, then Beef could have his ultra rare etho and a rare etho plus two docs... I'd also throw in a rare impulse on the off chance he could pull off a hybrid nho/boomer deck because of bdubs.

you can do what gem just did in regards to her not recording her games since she plays people who usually upload the matches as their own separate video she just linked those videos in her latest video if you havent seen it so it saves you the hard drive space and the uploading and it gets the viewers that you have to other channels to help some discover the other hermits ya know. anyways im really happy for you that all your hard work this season is really paying off its nice to see something like this tcg bringing a bunch of hermits together and just have a good time, bringing some hermits back. just simply having hermits have a chill and fun time on minecraft again with really worrying about what their gonna have to do next bc they just needed a break!

15:25 I'd really recommend including more hermits in your deck, your odds of losing because you don't have any active hermits left are way too high. If you assume that your first two hermits get knocked out in 6-8 turns, your odds of drawing a third to play in time are only 33.7% to 44.9%

With the Prankster deck online, your first hermit can be taken out in 1-2 turns... Stress and Mumbo are brutal, especially with clocks. That's with all the cards available though (but only 3 ultra rares and 12 rares allowed). But yeah, I would run 8-10 hermits. Unfortunately that does mean you will draw extra hermits you can't play if the game goes long, but you can ditch them to composters.

I think a great card idea is a beef card that makes a call back to ruins of the mindcrackers after the breech incident and it should look like beefs face after that and one of the attacks should be My Face! and basically it is an attack depending if you have Etho's afk.

I don’t know if you’re planning more cards but I had an idea for the cleaning lady. She has a move that forces the opponent to put all item and effect card back in their active deck (not discard). They can replace the cards but they lose progress/turns. It’s a gamble because it could open the opponent up to being able to place those cards on other hermits on their board.

So in order to make use of the Beef ultra rare's specail move, the deck has to have a minimum of 3 types. However, the rare Bdubs, ultra rare Beef, ultra rare Etho, and both Docs can use their first move with one of any item. The ultra rare Etho doesn't even need specific items at all. And the common Doc only needs one Redstone and one of any item for his 2nd move, so you might be able to get away with having just a few Redstone items and the rest balanced and explorer.

Idea for a new effect card: Ender pearl - your current active hermit is sent to your opponents field afk and any attached item cards are discarded. In combo with an attack on AFK hermits, it would work to tribute KO for a point.

I thought of something amazing: Grumbot (Exodia) Destroys all hermits on opponent’s board (or just sends them to empires) For balance: 1: all pieces of grumbot could require different items 2: need grumbot in every slot 3: grumbot has low-ish health making it easy to beat 4: only one grumbot may be played per turn 5: cannot take any other action after playing grumbot Beef I know you aren’t making new cards but this idea brought a smile to my face I could definitely see an animation of someone pulling off Grumxodia and then a beam shoots out banishing the enemy hermits to empires

I think you should have charged 1 netherite ingot each and freely supply them to arenas possibly supply 3 or 4 maybe 5 for each arena. 1 on either side of the arena. 1 in the center. 1 maybe above the dispenser shooting out rockets and 1 in the spectator area so they have a clear view as well

I was thinking of a potential new single use effect card. The effect is the player draws three cards, then discards two cards. As for what item it could possibly be, I'd rather let you decide that one. Pretty much it would be an alternative of the flint and steel card. Instead of discarding first it lets the player decide after seeing what they drew on what to discard, just in case they have something that could be pretty good if they got the right card to use it with. It's pretty much the Brainstorm card from Magic, the order in which the effects take place makes it impossible to circumvent the discard by simply having no cards in hand, but it also gives the player to get a needed more choices on what to discard.

For the cats you might need 2 more for the other 2 doors to prevent creepers. With them you can name the other 2 cats something beginning with a C and a G. So now you will have 3 cats that spell TCG

I know you've had discussions/suggestions to make the game a resource pack. I think it'd be a great way to keep the game alive each season, build a starter house, then a starter shop which could be the tcg. Then you could make an expansion set each season, give the Hermits, like Cub, the error cards they won. For the expansion, you are going for the long haul, meaning more sets with time, each expansion builds on the game making it more diverse in card options. So not all Hermits will be in each expansion. For example, Season 10 get expansion 2 (looks like you are currently working on expansion 1, guessing to balance things out better after the previously mentioned discussions with GMs) and it will have 8 hermits 10 items/effects... that one still confuses me so it'd be effects, which would mean you only need to make 18 new maps, if you make errors, keep a copy like previous sets, keep it so there is one ultra rare, 6 rares, and 11 commons. Just add them to the old packs, so you get a mix of old and new, Don't bother removing the old packs, just replace them as they the machines needs refills. If you get new Hermits, they get to be added in with the new set, but if you sadly lose a Hermit, people will always remember. You worked so hard on this I'd hate to see it turned away and if you chose to do it again in a few seasons, have to redo everything you've already done. I feel the same way about Tango's toiling away on something that is going to go away after a short time, if he ever finishes it before season 10. Speaking of Tango, it'd be cool if you and him got together to do something since you both made card games, maybe have special one time use cards for his game in your game. Then maybe he helps you make a special edition TCG card, Ultra Rare Dungeonmaster Tango which could be a prize for your game that can only be found/bought in his game for a high price, to keep it ultra rare.

I know I'm late and you probably already showed more at this point, but I kinda really hope that the secret thing you were hinting at at the end of the video is gonna be an empires expansion set for the tcg. I know that would mean a ton of work (again), but I just think it would be so cool to have the Empires peeps in the game, as a kind of memorial(?) of the epic crossover that happened. Plus, it would allow you to add a new type to the game like roleplayer or something; which could be fun for balancing and force players to adapt to the changes with their decks.

This fan LOVES the RAW interactions its nice to see that the group of hermits also have spits and spats friendly banter of course.

If you want to make some new effect cards, I think the game would benefit from the tools to search your deck for item cards. A stone/iron/gold/diamond pickaxe could allow you to search for miner, redstone, farm, or prankster item cards, with netherite pick allowing any of them and including double item cards. Similarly, a grindstone could be the search item for the pvp item card (weaponsmith's workbench), a diamond hoe for the terraform item, stone axe for the builder item, iron shovel for the balanced energy, and maybe blaze power and phantom membrane for the speedrunner and explorer types respectively.

I am excited to see Beef try an N.H.O. deck! I've been building one in the online game and it is surprisingly difficult to make viable. Redstone, Balanced, Explorer is definitely the way to go. I found that two Redstone Docs, two Balanced Bdubs and one each of the Etho common, rare and ultra-rare (plus the one ultra-rare beef) works best. Efficiency is a must, as Beef's special is (I believe) the most difficult to pull off in the game. Unfortunately, the move is very weak relative to it's cost, particularly compared to rare Mumbo. Maybe after trying it himself Beef will rebalance it a bit ;)
