@fSwifter I'm completely floored at his gaming posture. Mouse turned in 90 degrees, placed between him and keyboard, and both his elbows are on his desk. And there's a kleenex box somewhere in that arrangement. Later, talking to ren about left handedness he exclaimed "you're just like us" but everyone had already forgotten that disturbance in the force and nobody pressed him on the irony of his statement. That would have been gold.

55:24 Just did a small bit of research, this was reported to Mojang and was resolved. Etho is actually correct. The horses try to pathfind to a spot before you get on them. Getting on a horse interrupts their pathfinding, or pauses it, until you get off. Then once you get off, the horse will then try and wander back to the original location it wanted to pathfind to. While marked resolved, there doesn't seem to be a fix for it, so it seems that it is left mostly as a dead issue.
@PositivEddie9 ай бұрын
Dead issue aka feature
@stephenkrahling16349 ай бұрын
I was going to say Etho is definitely on to something, given how often it is that the moment you dismount the horse is already moving. Which would imply that it wasn't a random event but instead that it was waiting for you to be finished to start wandering. And if it's waiting, that means the pathfinding AI starts BEFORE you got off the horse

That and the tendency for mobs to go to higher spots is so crazy, when those ""features"" stack you get things like Grian's horse getting on top of magic mountain in 3 minutes
@Jude_55558 ай бұрын
I'm assuming the reason for it being this way was originally a resource saving feature or something that over the years has just been piled atop of and changing it breaks other pathfinding, hence why mojang hasn't fixed it yet? (Resource saving as in not having to calculate a new path every time a player or mob dismounts/remounts)

1:19:30 I actually do it kinda similar to Etho. After an extensive Diablo 4 gaming session my wrist started hurting (i am 40 years, getting old :p ) so what i did was putting my forearm on my desk, at maybe a 30-45 degree angle from the right desk corner. So the mouse is not exactly parallel to the keyboard. The keyboard itself is below the mouse actually (my PC desk has a board you can pull out). Now to make all that comfortable i am not sitting straight behind the desk, but almost parallel to it, with my feet resting on a stool beside my desk at the height of my seat. Oh year and my desk i also almost at shoulder level! No wrist issues anymore 😆 And yes, i am lefthanded, but also use the mouse with the right 🙂

I decided early on to just use my right arm instead of trying to reverse all the instructions. Funnily enough, when i trained on and off for a couple of years after, i learned to use the sword with left and right, left had more power, right more control. It has the advantage, if one arm gets tired (or your fingers get hit *again* ), you can just switch over 🙂

1:13:32 scar just needs new cups, cheap and easy mod to do to any headset that slips. 1:20:26 what Etho says makes perfect sense. Dunno how his back is doing, and i feel like a jeweler's desk would be perfect for him to sit without having to hunch (which i suspect is easier on account of his height), but it makes perfect sense as the wrist goes. The straighter your wrist is, the least flexed it is, the better. CTS and RSIs are horrid things to get and a lot of (aging up and young) people are getting these things these days. I have a similar setup, but i sit in a recliner type seat with a moving bench for my gear. The mouse is behind the keyboard and the screen at 45 relative to the keyboard, giving my wrist perfect command over the mouse without flexing it at all. I do have to say, for this kind of stuff, you want a heavy mouse. Light mice don't work for shizzle when you want a elbow control type deal (well, that meat portion between the wrist and the elbow which if you flex just right, allows you to basically float your hand over the table). Mine's about 420 grams with custom teflon padding to overcome gravity on top of a melamine surface i glued on top of the moving stand. Comfort + speed, neither of which you'd expect given that if this were to fall on someone's foot, it would be classified as a work injury. How i know this works? My brother and i are separated by only 4 years, but we've both started computers... in the early days of computing. We've been from basically a young age. He never adapted to RSI issues, i did early on (keyboard, mice orientation etc) ... he has carpal tunnel syndrome. Bad. Really bad. I am perfectly adapted because i don't use my wrist at all during mouse operations. I could have it in a cast and it wouldn't matter (and i did back during my youth).

I have very bad connective tissue problems, so I need to keep my neck aligned or I'm miserable, I need to keep my chest supported or else my ribcage sorta collapses and it needs to keep my shoulds in the right position as well because I can get shoulder bursitis just by lying there, and I need to keep my knees from grinding against each other and keep my pelvis aligned or else it also kinda collapses on itself. My wife has mostly the same setup but she also has a fourth pillow that she sometimes puts above her head to reduce noise/light or she puts it behind her back to give her something to lean against because she kinda tilts backward in some positions.

Like many, I quite often have a TT steam VODS to the side mostly listening with occasional watching. Yet this had my cackling with a witch and now I am 3 hours behind in my work! It really is great when these streams fall into existence!

the wildest thing about this is that etho plays with the desk at nearly chest level.

My lefty mom does have a lefty mouse, and I learned to use a leaf Ty mouse before a righty one. I was VERY confused when I got my first righty mouse. (Besides being the other hand, the buttons are inverted)

Tango, you will need a factory tour! A ride with music disc recordings teaching hermits how to red stone. Like the Hershey chocolate factory. Exit through the red stone gift shop!
