False, cover the 'raw' walls outside the mirrored chamber with light blue concrete and light that area well with lights on the outer walls of the chamber, to create fake sky behind the "mirrored" windows! If you're feeling ambitious, use redstone lanterns powered from a daylight sensor so it's dark "outside" at night too.

You could also enlist a redstoner to help link to a daylight sensor and give a different bg from day to night! I know Mumbo is good at piston feed tapes but it might not need anything even that dramatic.

I love the mirror idea, but, it is one block to low. Because the mirror effect happens at the top of the white glass, the only the surface should be the reflection, so, the entire underside of it should be moved up one more block. But, the effect is still there. Good job! The white columns have 3.5 blocks below and only 2.5 above.

One of my favourite moments from you was during a live stream in the Mesa Season when they added rocket powered elytra flying. I mentioned that you don't need to use the boat trick instead you can use a cobweb. You decided to take down the boat launcher and a bunch of boats exploded everywhere!

About the mirror doorways, it would be sooooo cool if you build a device activated by daylight sensor that switches dark blocks covering it with bluish blocks covering it, depending if there is day or night outside :D

I think the mirror might look better with black glass it looks less like a mirror and more like a copy but if its darker its more mirrory

@@cullenhutchison6528 most mirrors are only 97% effective which is why in shop changing rooms mirror opposite mirrors creates a dimmer and dimmer reflection, either way the reflection shouldnt be brighter

Joe Subbiani Not brighter than the original, but as I said, a _perfect_ mirror would have it be the same brightness. I know the typical real-life mirror is not perfect, but you typically want to get as close as possible.

Both Iskall and Scar used a technique of several layers of stained glass, which resulted in a lot of depth (they used it for fog effects). I think it might be worth experimenting with it! The build itself was fascinating to watch. This "reverse" thinking is too hard for me :D And thank you for taking the time to answer my question in-depth!

For the mirror door, you could put some sea lanterns and blue glass "outside" so it gives the illusion of outdoors?

When you are walking into the building you get sign saying "welcome" but you are actually leaving the place. Rotate the sign to face the other way around so when someone comes to Fantasy district they will be the ones who receive the message "welcome"

Set light blue concrete or wool a couple blocks back from, in the windows, and some hidden light sources to brighten, to simulate outside sky. (better still, picture frames and a map of a light blue covered area) If you go really creative, use a light sensor to control the lights, and it will look dark at night.

I think you should split what you do in the Windows and doors; do light blue glass blocks with light sources behind it on one side and black or dark blue glass with a single moon light source behind it. That would look pretty close to the sky.

Light blue concrete is pretty close to the color of the sky. For the outside of the windows in the mirrored area.

Loved this episode; this was my first time seeing the mirrored floor and it looks amazing! Simple adjustments to the lighting would help, but I'd suggest lighting above instead of removing below or you might get mobs spawning.

Do you think the fog effect might be nice. Like have your glass where you have it now, an air layer above that, and then another glass layer. That way it adds a little cloudiness to it, maybe adding to the mirror effect? Idk how it would look, just a thought. But then I guess you wouldn't be able to look at it from below the platform. Definitely looks cool though!

The whole mirror room should be one block higher because the glass surface is supposed to be the line of symmetry, not the glass block.

Since you like experimenting with mirrors in Minecraft, would you consider building something similar to Crystal Palace from Paper Mario 64 in Hermitcraft (not necessarily this season though I wouldn't complain if it happened that soon)? I feel like that would be a pretty cool (pun intended) build that you would probably enjoy making. Just an idea. Also, if it's legal where you live, would you own a pet fox and what would you name it?

I really like the mirror idea, very cool and a classic magic technique. However, my mind won't let me see it as a mirror for some reason. Maybe because there are so many straight lines, there isn't a focal point of the reflection. Like, the staircase would be a good object to trick the eye, but you don't see its angled shape from the front door. What about adding staircases on the left and right? Or some other shape that can be seen with its obvious reflection?
