Grian bought a ton of fire charges from the shopping district. You should talk to him for more. Also, the lava field looks great. Instead of trying to stop them with it you should create these little safe paths for them to go. These are your kill zones. You limit their ability to maneuver and that is how you trap them.

It wouldn't be pointless. Lava would slow them down more than soul sand and that would be a lot of resources to invest into potions that would lose their effect once they died. So it would still benefit them to avoid the lava.

General Tango stands stoically with his arms behind his back as he gazes out of the control room's massive window. Though too far away to see properly, he can *feel* the presence of the enemy commander and once Tango's so-called "friend", Impulse, staring viciously back at him from the peak of the very same Ghast Cannon that drove them apart. Though holding the rank of General, it was more or less a formality; Tango's *real* role in the G-Team was acting as the Lead Engineer on the Deadly Energetic Ramification Project (D.E.R.P). An elevator opened behind Tango, revealing Grand Commander Grian in his usual attire -- a stately, dark green military garb with leather vest, countless awards and emblems emblazoned across his chest. Tango despised working under such a gaudy commander... But he put up with it, as it was the only way he would ever be able to exact Revengification against Impulse the Betrayinator. " Grand Commander," Tango said cautiously. "General," Grian replied in turn. "I hope Hermitcraft finds you well in these troubled times. As for the preparations..." Tango's eyes narrowed. Grand Commander Grian hadn't been much for small talk ever since the incident with the failed Wither Weaponizification Project. Perhaps not Tango's brightest idea, to be fair... "The preparations are complete," Tango answered. "All that remains now is to adjust the frequency of the velocerators towards the general vicinity." "In English, please," Grian retorted, seemingly exasperated. "...I just gotta aim at the ghast cannon," Tango said, disappointed in his commander's apparent lack of interest in the finer details. "Very good. Let me know when the, er... 'velocerations' are complete, then." With that, Grian stepped unceremoniously back into the elevator. As the door closed, a ding and the distinct sound of elevator music could be heard, reminding Tango of the time when stock prices were the greatest of a Hermit's worries. Ah, how times had changed... Minutes turned into hours as Tango finished fine-tuning his newest weapon in solitude. "This is it," Tango mumbled to himself as he sprinkled down a layer of redstone dust. "Once I destroy that ghast cannon... Maybe my friend... Maybe Impulse and I can finally fight united on the same side again, just like old times." Suddenly, the elevator opened at the back of the room. Tango looked up to see who was coming to disturb his work this time, only to be greeted by a mysteriously empty lift. Puzzled, Tango stood, thinking that perhaps somebody had accidentally sent it up without being inside. By the time he noticed the telltale Potion of Invisibility particles, it was already far too late. Tango suddenly found himself at the business end of a floating diamond sword. Tango quickly reached for his own sword and prepared to strike back. Suddenly, however, the floating sword once again disappeared, and the particles drifted quickly out of view. Tango did his best to follow the trail with his eyes. He knew that whoever this enemy was, the only way for them to use a potion of invisibility to full effect was by going in naked -- with no armor to protect them, all it would take was two or three good swings to take them down. But the particles never re-appeared. Tango looked around wildly, knowing his enemy must be hidden just out of sight. When suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed something black seemingly pop into existence. He wheeled around to see a rather surprised-looking and sweaty man in a tux and sunglasses crouching in the corner of the room. "Mumbo!?" Tango exclaimed. Mumbo glanced around awkwardly for a moment or two before blurting, "I'm *definitely* on your side! Yeah! I've come to join back up with you! You see, I was really a QUADRUPLE agent this whole time!" "Uh-huh. I ain't buying it," Tango said incredulously. "You come in here all invisible and swingin' at me with an enchanted diamond sword, and you expect me to believe that?" "Diamond sword?" Mumbo asked. A look of panic dawned upon his face. "Aw, pants! I've left my diamond sword back at the base!!" With that, Tango felt a fiery arrow pierce his backside. A rather feminine voice called out as he tried to put out the fire in his rump. "Seriously, Mumbo!? I told you to take the EXTENDED invisibility potions! You're such a spoon!" Tango recognized that voice; it was the voice of none other than the Rogue, FalseSymmetry! "I've got a boat and two diamond hoes! Are those any good!?" Mumbo called back. "Forget it! Stick to the plan! We're *this* close, we can't afford to mess up now!" Tango had finally managed to put out the fire and was attempting to eat to recover some of his lost health. "Err nurr yuh dern't!" Tango said through a mouthful of steak. False made a beeline towards the control panel. "Mumbo! You hold him off while I figure out which one of these will launch the missiles!" *The missiles!?* Tango thought. *But I haven't properly aimed them at the ghast cannon yet! If they're fired now, they'll be on a direct crash-course with S.T.A.R. HQ!* Tango made to attack the still-invisible False but was instead smacked with an overpriced gardening tool. "Go, boats and hoes!" Mumbo cried as he smacked Tango over and over again. He wasn't inflicting much damage, but the knockback was all he needed to buy time. "Got it!!" False yelled back. "Let's blow this popsicle stand!" Tango watched as a large hole was mined in the control room's window, a floating pair of elytra and a firework rocket careening out of it. Leaving Mumbo out of his mind, Tango quickly grabbed his bow and ran to the window. Firing shot after shot, he attempted to shoot False out of the air, but a flying target was hard enough to hit already, let alone a nearly-invisible one. In the chaos, Mumbo had opened up yet another hole in the window and dashed out, although he nearly forgot to activate his elytra before hitting the ground. As the rogue duo flew off into the sunset, Tango's heart sank. The missiles had been fired; flying machines loaded with TNT duplication devices, meant to utterly decimate whichever target was unlucky enough to be in its sights. And they were heading not towards the accursed Ghast Cannon... But straight towards S.T.A.R HQ. Tango sank to his knees. If Impulse was in there right now... His chances for survival would be very slim. To be continued...

Consider drowned turrets that pop up with a switch... you could have them drop into place and then pull away the floor to bring them into a water stream -> elevator to cycle them back up to the top when done Not very controlled but at least they can aim wether it’s at you or not I can’t say and they have infinite ammo

For the lava -- you want it to slow down their advancing army, but it looks like it's only going to slow yours down. You should have them on hillsides facing the opponent so you guys can jump over them but they have to climb up the lava fields.

Yo Tango! I thought of something REALLY COOL for the battlefield. If you can get dispensers at the perfect height beneath the ground, make a hole directly from the dispenser to the surface. Fill the dispenser with explosive fireworks, and then if someone is walking across the field, they'll blow up by the power of pretty colors! Mwahahaha...

Build a crash drive- a device of my own design in which it creates so much lag (via a group of pistons and dispensers) that a top of the line pc will crash. The crash drive also includes an auto lighting nether portal for easy escape. The crash drive deactivates after 60 seconds.

Here’s a cool idea, you should add a redstone lamp silo thing in the control room that shows how much ammo is left in the dispensers. I’m not that good with redstone, but I think taking a comparator output from one of the dispensers, then using a stair step of comparators and redstone dust to carry the signal strength upwards should work.

a good way to get people across the field "safely" is to add people launchers at the top of the base using tnt. You cant use elytra but no one ever said no tnt.

@@Deadlie Hay bales(feather falling IV minimum), water buckets, chorus fruits(I think) and spiderwebs will also negate fall damage. In addition, for the Gteam to shoot a slow falling player makes the Gteam more vulnerable. It will be easier for the attacker to shoot the Gteam, while it'll be harder for Gteam to shoot.

Make a lot of double chests above each dispenser and connect them using hoppers. That way, it should be a while before they run out.

I have to say, the Lava and the fire balls in conjunction with one another is a solid defense. It will be hard to dodge them while surrounded by lava. The anti-ghast measures are particularly weak. As you said, there is no guarantee that they will fly directly across in a straight line. Even if it does hit, the ghast cannon has water in it, so if it hits he could jump in the water and keep going. What you need is some sort of TNT cannon specifically angled to fire at the ghast. Perhaps you could also use some flying tnt bomber and build it near the sky limit so that it’s hard to hit. It should also be ridable so you can manually stop it before it goes off destroying stuff in the distance. Also, the control room and a lot of your redstone contraptions are incredibly vulnerable to the ghast gun. I would say encase all redstone in cobblestone or some other ghast-resistant material in order to be safe, or even add an internal layer in the wall of a more blast-resistant material.

You should add in water shields, pufferfish mines, something to kill their ghost in case the anti-ghast measures fail and lastly a last resort switch to that is linked to tons of tnt around the battle field in case you need to kill the other players as a last resort. Edit: You also might want to add in a defence for the control room because it is pretty open to any attacks because of the large window.

There is no flying during the battle, so they would have to walk around the opponent's base to get to the back of it. For flanking actions, they should dig tunnels around the edge of the battle fields down around bedrock level (to hide their name tags while traveling) with water elevators sending them up into the back of the star fort moat.

They might want to use the river as a way to avoid the land traps. Both teams will probably be doing this, and guardians will block both teams. If they want to be able to travel the river themselves without the star team being able to, they could use pistons to extend up and block off the river so that they can lower them when they want to pass and raise them when they want to block the enemy

To minimalist your red stone footprint with the dispensers, you can use 2 observers instead of the repeating comparator system. To do this place two observers facing each other and to activate/terminate use a sticky piston to move it out of range. It’s also the fastest dispenser clock as it utilises a true 1 tick clock. Also means less lag as red stone dust flicking on and off can be quite laggy.

Wither turrets/land mines! Build cages of obsidian underground and place the top two layers of a wither inside. Use a piston to remotely push the bottom block into place. The withers will explode, shoot at the other team, and distract them for long enough to mount any counterattack or safeguard any retreat.

You should create a circuit with a chest that when you put fire charges in it, they get evenly distributed to each of the dispensers. It might be a hastle but it'll save a lot of time reloading

Dear Tango, Envision the following! TnT loaden flying machines hidden inside the G-towers aimed at the STAR defense tower's ghast TO SAFE the ghast from its imprisonment! Bottomline is... 5 flying machines filled with TnT while the G-teamers fire firechargers at the panicking STAR members trying to disable the flying death machines!

An idea I got is that you could have dispensers shoot out of the ground and shooting fire charge! That way the other team won't try and destroy your dispensers. Another idea I had is that there could be a button that triggers an obsidian wall all around your base from the ground. Go G Team!!!

.... you really need to make the redstone fail-deadly so if anything gets damaged it is automatically dangerous so if/when the controller is taken out by the ghast cannons it automatically unleashes hell (and a cease-fire switch so that nothing automatically fires until that flag comes down.... probably the best way to do that is have powered redstone lines from the control box to the various contraptions and simply turning off the line or breaking the redstone anywhere makes all the devastation. it also makes the errors easier to fix when you accidentally break it yourself, that is powered that should also be powered to be off I broke some dust ooh connect no ammo wasted

I was thinking about the way emergency stop switches work on machinery ^_^ Usually, there is one continuous cable running all over the machine but as soon as anything breaks it, someone tugging on the cable someone hitting a stop switch, anything then it'd shut down the machine cause that's a failure, normally it knows nothing is broke because the signal is continuous so without that signal something stopped working. It's also how some building fire/burglar alarms work, any damage to the system the thing goes off just in case

Small suggestions: 1. Maybe place the lava dispensers to initially place the source block in a hidden location so opponents don't just dump water on it and obsidian the lava source. 2. Hidden trap doors? Whole sections of the field sticky-piston/retract into trap rooms. Like a room full of skeletons or creepers. 3. Lava dispenser combined with activated TNT dispenser? It'll make a hole and an eventual lava pool (and the source block is annoying to get to. 4. Fire-arrow dispensers? Your arrows will blot out the sun. And then replace the sun with blazing fire! Maybe too laggy though.

The other team has a creeper cannon, as a defense you can put dispensers that dispense water at the top of the base to cover it whole, also put fire charge dispensers to shoot at the places the other team can dodge the lava

Fire arrows, Tango! Fire charges are great, but they go straight. Good to cover the battle field, but with arrows you can create a deadly curtain closer to the base, because they have a downwards trajectory. You could use them not preemptively like the fire charges, but more directly if some comes close enough to be hit. Possibly divide the area into three sections, left, right and center, where there are several dispensers for each section, so that you can target the area where someone advances to. Another idea: captured mobs. You may not have a kraken, but a bunch of wither skeletons that you already have the infrastructure for collecting them built may be devastating. Pigmen would be really cool as well if angered, but I'm not sure whether that's not more effort to collect. Yet another one: lingering potions of a negative effect like harming, slowness, poison. Maybe combined with you lava traps that force them into a specific route and at the choke points you set up those potion traps. Either way, don't forget to craft up a bunch of tipped arrows of these potions so you all have a more potent manual ranged weapon than just arrows. And maybe the other team doesn't think about those. However you also need some more offensive weapon. All of this are mainly defensive weapons. No idea what though... plain old TNT catapult, launching primed TNT by another TNT blast? But that's limited in it's firing direction and may not reach far enough to their base.

Tango you should make rows of arrow dispensers with blocks in front of them that retract. The arrows will start falling and end up in a well calculated explosion to disperse them and spread them across the battlefield. Extra points if you somehow ignite them with lava 👊

One important thing to note is that you'll have to cover more of the area to the right of the base as well. If you look where the main enemy base is, it's offset to the right of yours so when they charge in, it might be more from the side instead of directly from those large tower in front where the ghast cannons are.

Tango, at the top of the base you should add water deployers that cover the front of the base in water from the top, protecting it from TNT and putting out the fires at the bottom of the base

A wolf trap would be quite interesting! If you were to have each of the G-Team members tame say 10 wolves or so and then make the wolves sit in a 1-block hole, you could push down a block onto the wolves, causing them to take half a hearth worth of damage and then stand up and teleport to their owner. This way you could have players on the battlefield request backup and within a second have 10 wolves by their side to help them fight. Alternatively one could just hide a bunch of wolves under the ground and then the wolves would teleport to the player if they were attacked.

As one of the first attack measures, build a mineurs camp close to their base. like a little dug down camp with a mine that ends close to their base with a huge amount of tnt inside would look cool and you could put a trap inside so someone of them triggers the tnt

Suggestion Compilation 1. Defence, Water wall to prevent explosives. 2. Defence, Inner lining with Obsidian. 3. Offence, TnT minecart cannons. 4. Foot-soldiers, Armour with themed constumes/Shield with banner on it. 5. Aesthetic, Team mascot, flags, full on war spirit. 6. Aesthetic, a Minecart track (deep underground) for each member that equips them of their gear on then launches them straight onto the battlefield. (won't be hard, just go in tube that ends with slime, get in the cart, get equipment along the way with dispenser and go up using water, then flush piston doors mumbo once did it in S05) 7. Offence/Defence add lingering potions of poison/slowness/harm along with the lava. That'll be really nasty. Also, be ready if they have fire resistance, all ur traps are fire based. 8. Motive, We need a reward or title or something to be won by the team who wins the war. There must be a war meeting to decide the rules and the prize. 9. Hire mumbo for the entire war documentary, this will make him have to get the info and work as a mole. But more importantantly we neeeeed a war documentary. Imagine mumbo going, war preparation day 8, both teams have almost finished interior decorations and have decided ti start the war in just 2 more day. Let's go meet our Swedish G-man for more information. 10. Put Armour stands (credits to "no 1" ) or Zombies with name tags to lure enemies. :)

Tango First you're gonna have to add a second Anti Ghastigicator the plan is to have 2 from what Impulse is planning. Second I suggest if possible place a couple of your "Happy Fun Sauce" aka Lava Dispensers of Doom hidden in the trees that way it covers more ground in the spread. Third you might want to get working on the Water Curtain Defense for the Charged Creaper Launcher that Doc built. Unless that is someone else's responsibility. Otherwise seeing all this makes me all tingly inside. I love it. Keep up the good work.

A couple of suggestions: Some simple but large pits that open up to hole full of lava. A few simple skeleton turrets hidden in the bases wall like Zedaph did last season at his base. And someone already mention drowns with tridents. A bunch if creepers and/or witches in hidden holes on pistons that push up on to the battlefield.

Piston doors that open and release small flying machines with TNT replicators but don't release the TNT until they pass the center. Once it reaches their main structure, the flying machine will be stuck but the TNT will continue to drop
