I hv been using my gopros in dive cases, so I'm used with the two buttons to change settings/modes no problem. However, my greatest concern for the mini is the fixed internal battery, it's a major deal breaker.

I saw a review tested both for the heating shut down, the result was totally different. Mini survived on the same extreme hot condition like over 40 Celsius degrees for over 40 mins, instead the regular 11 only took about 10~20 mins to shutdown.

Hero11 Mini on my helmet is an absolute winner. I CAN feel the difference, even though it's only 20 grams lighter, and the feeling is significant. Exceptional review as always, Sir!

@@C5drummer Nah I'm not going to waste my money for this expensive and useless gadget. Its main issue is the non removable battery so I would be forced to buy 2 of these toys in order to fulfill my tasks. It's good that this toy is suitable for your task but in my case it's a big no. Unfortunately at the moment there is nothing reliable in the market, the Go Pro are too expensive and still you need to waste more money on spare batteries for the big one.

how about using the mini on a motorcycle helm? looking to buy one and insta 360 as well as full size gopro are huge on that helm. not to mention adding weight

I will go for the normal 11 any day, the mini gets waaaaaaaay too hot recording videos at just 1080p 60fps which is a huge disappointment cause it shuts off by it self after telling me that its too hot. 🤦🏽‍♂️ and by the way i live in anchorage alaska.

I would like to ask, why are these drone operators' on KZbin using two camera's on their baby drones, one is plenty. I am aware of the Hero 11 mini (which I own) I can't view the recording while flying my drone. The older Gopro's have wifi and I'm able to view on my mobile phone whilst flying. Have you any idea when Gopro will release firmware to resolve this issue.

No joke, I literally fell asleep watching this video. This man’s voice is so soothing, he should become Bob Ross. Hero11 & Hero11 Mini have their specific use cases. I just think that the Hero11 Black is just better because of that front screen, GPS, touchscreen, and the better enduro battery. However, the Mini may have better durability in terms of drop resistance as there are no screens to break.

The 9 because you can actually change the battery when it dies, unless you don't care about that and then the mini maybe. Frankly they are very different cameras.

Do not buy a Mini Black. They are rubbish. They overheat and crash all the time. I have two both just over 12 months old. One has just died completely (one month out of warranty). The battery has failed but you cannot remove or replace it. Zero support from GoPro. It's going into the bin. There are NO serviceable parts on the GoPro mini. They cannot be repaired. No one ever mentions this.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING THE 11mini I am returning mine The gopro is controled by 2 buttons, pain in the a** right ? I as a ''genius'' i thought that i would simply edit all my settings (video modes) on the Quik App and then scroll with the 2 buttons in betwens my settings on the camera. Brilliant ? nope ! YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE VIDEO SETTINGS AT A TIME ! When i use my gopro i always switch in between my 4-5 favorite video modes : Sunny - Sport - Underwater - Slowmo (2x 4x 8x) ... And each video modes have differents settings (resolution - frame rate - stabilisation - shutter speed ...) So now, to ''switch'' in between video modes, i have to clicks 15 times on the gopro, 15 TIMES AND THATS NOT ALL more precise settings like shutter speed and stabilisation (and many more) CAN ONLY BE CONTROLED ON THE APP !!! Gopro are meant to often be use where you cant take you phone out.. especially with the smaller version.... That. is. a. shame. Gopro failed on this one. Yes it can be fixed in a software update, but for now, my vacation is in 4 days and i am pissed (probably like a lot of people were) Other thing, the volta handle (with battery built-in) comes with a usb pass-through door for the gopro 11 standard only, not the mini (second time they pissed me off)
