The pen isn't my favorite but I'm just so picky. 😂 That carbon ink is my favorite black ink for my fountain pens. Some people have claimed that they have problems with it but I've never had a days trouble with it and sometimes I leave it a pen I haven't touched in months. I feel bad for the sad monster you drew but I do like the subtle use of color mixed in. Nice work! 👍

Yep, Platinum Carbon ink is pretty good stuff and as close as it can get to permanent. The only problem I had is that it tends to stain a little pens that are lighter in color and they are made out of resin. Other than that, no issues with it on this side either. Don't feel bad about the little guy - he (she!?) is actually quite happy - had one too many beers before "the portrait" was taken . Thanks Pete!

Looks like a nice pen. I'm not particularly fond of hooded nibs as ink can get stuck there, but perhaps less an issue if filling the converter with a syringe or using cartridges.

I thought about it for a little and realized that maybe even in that case - when you have ink between nib and inside of the hood - is not a big issue. That hood will act as a basic overfeed... and the nib will "consume" the ink. Worth the try maybe... overall though, definitely not a bad fountain pen.

Good looking pen, also affordable. Would you recommend it? Nice drawing. To me it resembles a Tim Burton caracter.

I like it... and my copy seems to be working as intended. So based on that I definitely can recommend it. Just remember, like all Chinese pens you could get unlucky sometimes. A lot of people say some of my drawings reminds them of Tim's work. I guess maybe there is something in me from him :). Thanks!
