I still have no idea how to draw Shigaraki.
Once again, the first time I heard this song, I immediately thought of All Might/ Nana Shimura and Shigaraki. It fits them perfectly.... sooo of course I had to make an animatic = w = This was meant to be just a simple little side project, but I ended up putting more time into it than I expected.. oh well lmao

Society was wrong, if there had been someone else who found Shigaraki and helped him see that hope can prevail the dark side he wouldn't have become a villain. But Shigaraki, as well as other "villains" who were wronged by society, saw the way the world works and had it engraved in their heads that the Hero system was corrupt and they were left to be forgotten.

The hero system is corrupt. They have lists of top heroes as if saving lives is a competition, children who go to school to try and get to the top of those lists and get themselves killed in the process of trying to climb above the hierarchy, take Deku for example. He's 14-15, and has been through multiple near-death situations, hospitalized countless times often out of his own reckless behavior because he's a child and doesn't understand fully, same goes for the entirety of class-1A and 1B

I mean, nothing gets more corrupt than having children fight each other- injuring themselves and the other CHILD in the process- and calling it a sports festival? They're 14 and they're already in a competition of strength, and if you don't meet the status quo your immediately thrown to the side.

I love shigaraki so much. He had such a rough past and yet people say that Todoroki had the roughest past in MHA. All the villains deserved so much better- and honestly I really wish someone saved him. I mean- you can’t blame him for being villain. He was pushed aside and was never saved, he didn’t mean to do the things he did as a child- he didn’t have control over that. He was just lonely and needed someone desperately- but he didn’t have anyone. Honestly- I think that’s why I love Shiggy so much. It’s that he’s such a complex character- and he deserved so much more than what he got, and that goes for all of the villains. I’m proud to say I simp for Shigaraki, and that I wish I were there to save him- not to bring him to the hero side against his will, but to just be there for him.

@@That_one_guy__ I think what the person here is getting at is the difference between them, Eri was saved by heroes and Shigaraki wasn't, they both had it hard, Eri more so, but the difference is that Eri was saved by Heroes and gained faith in them and the fact they'd help her while Shigaraki wasn't, he wasn't helped or saved by a hero and he wanted to be a hero as a kid but then it changed and he saw it as the heroes don't care for him and that he has to look after himself because he's killed the only people who did care. They were both abused by the 'farther figures' in their lives but one was rescued by heroes and the other left alone until All for One came and he thought he had been saved by not the heroes, but a villain. I mean this is just how I see it and it probably sounds stupid to say just thought I'd give my opinion on it.

Honestly Shigaraki is a complex character brain washed and devoted to his cause he is willing to die for. All Might has a savior complex that makes him think he can “change” Tenkos ways even though he is long gone now. You cant save everyone, and that is the sad truth. Shigaraki is a reverse Midoriya, and his redemption arc wouldn’t be happy and grand, and more of just him on a death bed regretting getting his happy ending. Maybe things would be different if his life wasn’t so bad.

Funny thing is eri and shigaraki both had horrible things happen to them the best that happened to shigaraki was afo giving him a quick and raising him and eri it was deku Miro and u.a. but I could still see eri becoming a villain because of what overhaul did to her and if it happens it would make sense she has been killed hundreds of times and nothing can undo that shigarakis life lead up to who he his now and it shows

This animation really puts it into perspective. I mean if you really think about it its like what Stain said the Hero system is corrupt. Some heros dont go into the business to help others instead they do it for the fame and money and many people start out good but over time they become corrupt by others or their own thoughts, kinda like what happened to Iida, wanting to take revenge for his brother. So if you think about it this way, Shigaraki just wants everyone to see just how messed up the world is, in hopes that people wont make the same mistake again with judging others, who were in reality just scared and confused like he was when he was a kid

I hate how everyone seems to judge others by their quirks. Aizawa's quirk is highly useful as well as Shinso's quirk. Both are viewed as villainous and thankfully, didn't become villains, themselves like society told them that they were. And I feel bad for every 'villain' there is or was. Take Toga, she didn't ask to have her blood quirk, or to like blood at all. Or how Twice didn't asked to become a villain, he did it to survive or how it made him go insane because of it. The way I see it, and agree with Stain's ideology but not the methods used to go about it. All Might, is naive and blind and deaf for not seeing what society truly is. Take Deku for an example, he was bullied for LITERALLY being quirkless. I bet in All Might's youth, he was picked on pretty harshly and probably had a sheltered life, but who knows. I think society is one big fucking garbage. And would rather be it run by AFO than this. At least I know what'll happen and not worry for those who were born with 'villainous' quirks. Gentle Criminal's quirk is best suited for construction than for whatever the hell he was doing.

Don't know if I would agree with you on the world being run by AFO. From what we know of the story, it seemed like a pretty brutal society, where it was kind of a dog-eat-dog world. The strongest were the ones who ruled, and society was a bit of a mess. AFO does not have the best intentions for society, and is honestly probably just as equally corrupt. In the end, AFO has literally brainwashed Shigiraki into forming a full blown terrorist group, hell bent on not just reforming society and taking out corruption, but destroying it as a whole. He has manipulated Shigiraki -and in turn all the other villians apart of the LoV- for his own benefits and gains: for the chaos that they sow. However, having said that, I do fully agree that the Hero system is corrupt. And sadly, it's not because of the heros themselves necessarily. A majority of heros are genuinely good people, who genuinely wish to help people and society out. It's unfortunately primarily the Hero Association that is pretty corrupt: government officials that regulate everything and do things to their own benefits. The Hero Association definitely needs a purging of some kind, and the system needs reform. Hopefully we can see that kind of thing happen in the series Cx

Honestly, I’ve always like the villains. I mean sure, they were bad, but seriously, half of them need therapy and or help. Take shigarki, he was left alone, left in that alleyway because ‘heroes will help him’. Toga likes blood because of her quirk and she was shunned. Twice, who had double could have been an hero with his quirk was driven insane thanks to it. Stain saw right through the system and honestly in my eyes, wanted to stop all might to prove heroes were not really what they seemed. Okay, I’m not saying that all villains are redeeming people or they should become heroes. afo or overhaul, though, I honestly can’t see them becoming heroes like the others. Most of the lov have redeeming qualities, but a few, not so much.Like really, most villains could be better people at best, but like, it’s just they feel left and discarded.

Look, I agree that the villains were hurt. No one said they weren't. But they're killing people. They are killing people who weren't involved, who didn't do anything to them. They weren't saved, and that sucks, but heros are still humans. Not everyone gets saved. Sometimes, you have to save yourself. It's hard. It hurts that no one came, but if you choose to spread more hurt, then you don't get to blame the world for failing you because you failed yourself. You gave up, and now you're lashing out at everyone around you. You can be angry. You can be upset, but if you hurt someone, that's on you and you alone. If someone hurts me and my response is to go punch a random person in the face, I don't get to blame the person who hurt me, but that's what the villains are doing. They have to be stopped. Later, once they're stopped, they have to accept help. But I get the feeling most of them won't because they refuse to let go of their anger. They refuse to move forward, to give themselves the chance to heal by letting go of their pain, because they enjoy hurting others, and their pain makes them feel justified to lash out. But maybe I'll be wrong. Maybe the villains will own up to what they did and move past what others did in order to grow. If they do, then they'll be better people even if they spend the rest of their lives in a jail cell for their terrorism. (Because they are absolutely terrorists at this point. Shigaraki alone destroyed an entire city block.)

What I love I love about this is it shows how both of them rly R in my opinion. All Might is so selfless he probably would feel bad that he couldn’t save the League’s members from their tragic origins even though he knows he can’t save literally everyone & would probably feel like he should’ve worked even harder even though he tried his best. Shigaraki is “bad” now but he only turned bad bc he didn’t feel like heroes would’ve saved him growing up and we all know if All Might knew what was going on he’d try to save him.
