Is anyone else rewatching these videos just in disbelief and needing to feel Mel? 😭 Such a loss for so many people. I’m not sure I’ve known a more loved and beautiful soul in my life. I related to you for such incredible beauty content but also as a fellow zebra with EDS. You helped me forget life and being mostly bed ridden for just a moment. EDS robs us of so much and so many. @@mememe217 Hi Boston Platinum, Mel lived with and was an overcomer of a chronic genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). It affected her connective tissues and her joints. It makes all her joints hypermobile, her skin fragile and loose and can cause dislocations, and damage to joints, etc. It can also affect internal organs including the large arteries of the heart, if she also suffered from the Vascular and/or Cardiac Valvular EDS. The Vascular type can case the arteries and certain organs such as the intestines and uterus to rupture or the large arteries in the heart to rupture. More recently she was also dealing with seizures. Alot of people who have the vascular version may not live past 40 years old. Mel did talk about her syndrome in some of her videos but she never focused on it. She was such an incredible human being, she never complained and just wanted to squeeze the best out of life even when given lemons. And boy did she squeeze and made SO much beauty out of it! She reminds me SO much of my Mom as my Mom was the same way. And, not only that Mel was such a giver, so compassionate, so wise, so kind and such a thoughtful human being. She truly was a beauty inside and out. I hope you're feeling stronger, Better With The Irish. May God keep you strong and healthy and with more good than bad days. I wanted to share this special thing I saw when Mel passed. I saw on Instagram when going to the Search section and it first lists all these popular posts, I saw Mel's beautiful photo was on the most top row left corner with a scripture listed as a post on the second row just underneath her photo and it said: Psalm 73:26 "My flesh and my heart my fail but GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." I just KNOW that's from Mel and God. May you rest in peace and joy unspeakable and full of glory forever, Mel, beautiful Angel! 🦋😇🌈💗
