God. I remember how much I cried when I first heard this song back when I still attended church. Not because I could relate to it or that it had a particular power to it, but because everyone around me that was singing it were blind to their own hypocrisy. I was still the kid people made fun of because I looked a little different. Closed-minds. All of them.

The movie i heard this song was in to save a life. the movie moves me so much and i watch it when i can even to this day. i used to help my church but got ignored to the point i quit and walked out and no one noticed or cared. since then i have done what i can to instill real hope to those who have been bullied because i have been bullied all my life and have been the bully as well so i know what it is like. to those who go through being bullied i say stay strong no matter what and don't let them win. be yourself and even at school when people like teachers don't care and don't do anything to help always remember to be yourself and stay strong because your life matters and you as well. i speak from experience as someone who has spent their life in darkness and knows what it's like to think about the darker things but don't. please don't and hoping this message spreads out to those who need help and guidance. remember people you all matter and all will get better. just have to have faith like i do in time. prayers go out to the bullied and lonely souls like me and take great care 🙏

I love this song, I wish bullies would look at this song and listen to it and see, that what they do can effect people really badly, and they could save them instead of making the do things that hurt them. They should notice, people will follow the person who makes a choice to save themselves or others, so they can't break them down.

This song makes me cry everytime...... I am bullied and no one stands up for me and everytime i try to stand up to the bully I get in trouble by the teachers or adults around. I suffer from cutting and anxiety... i try to stop but it doesnt help that no one is truthful to me and that im yelled at all the time... I’ll tell you what next time a bully try’s and gives you shit or hits you. Use all your might and one time beat the hell out of one of em. The bullying will stop cause they know you aren’t playing no more. Being in trouble is irrelevant cause I guarantee it’d be your last time in trouble. Another best thing you can do is take away their joy by acting like it don’t bother you whatsoever. Only problem with this method is by acting like you don’t care or respond may result in not only continued bullying but they will go harder to get that reaction from you. So like I said, don’t kill the guy or girl just take off on them enough to where their hurt and embarrassed by everyone who witnessed you. I promise it’ll get better👍🏼

6 years ago i heared this song for the first time while i got bullied by people. I was lost for a couple months after the song, because i didnt know who i was anymore. So like the song said i decided to not give to much shit about the them and just stand and walk forth slowly, being myself. Everyone still thought i was weird and stuff but somehow slowly people started to get notice learning my name. after 3 years almost everyone knew my name even people i didnt know at all. So my advice if you feel lost miss understood just walk forth and dont give a shit what others say or down. Because somewhere on your way you will notice that people will look up at you seeing strength and hope in you. you will lead yourself and many others that might want to stand by your side if you keep believing in yourself. i wish you all the best of luck with your hopes and dreams and like i said never give up. :)

This song isn't my favorite, musically, but the lyrics are what make it incredible. Because this is stuff that happens every day. People suffer, people don't do what's right. But then there are the heroes. You may not think you have one, but they're there. You don't have to stop a bullet to be a hero. You just have to put someone before yourself for once. I think we all could learn much from this song.

This is our problem! This is just one of those daily scenarios in which we choose to close our eyes instead of doing the right thing If we make a choice to be the voice For those who won't speak up for themselves How many lives will be saved, changed, rearranged? Now it's our time to pick a side So don't keep walking by, not wanting to intervene cause you just want to exist and never be seen So let's wake up! Change the world! OUR TIME IS NOW!!!!!!!!!! When we see bullying going on at anytime in any environment, we have to step in and do something because if we don't then the consequences of that decision will come back to hurt us. SO LET'S WAKE UP! CHANGE THE WORLD! OUR TIME IS NOW!!!!

You know, superchick's songs have helped me get through the worst times of my life. Stand in the rain was the only song that kept me going for three years a while ago. Plus, Hero makes me remember a friend of mine that hung herself at my school because she was picked on. She didn't know just how many people care about her. It's really sad how no one seemed to realize their flaws until after the deed was done. But people tend to do that. Its sad how people start listening only when you're gone...

But I want to make the world a better place, and fight for those who have also been broken. But my driving force is a deep, burning anger. I'm morally ambiguous and willing to do things "heroes" usually aren't. Sometimes I can be disillusioned and go full on dark. But in the end, I usually support the forces of good. I am an anti-hero.

This is such an empowering song, it's so important we realize how our choices- even the small ones affect others. After two teenage suicides next door to me- I realized you never know what's really going on in someone's life. Is it really so hard to stand up and say a kind word? It's such a small price to pay, for someone , another human being to feel worth it. Jesus gave us the power to love - let's use it!
