I think the babies would have been fine without any intervention by hoomans. Mum and Dad were there watching their sygnets the whole time, probably hoping to be left in peace to encourage their babies to follow them. It was nice of the guy though, but if any baby bird is uninjured and the parents can see them, you should leave well alone. They know what to do, sometimes we get in the way! I myself have been watching out for all the fledglings that are out now, I have a special box in case any do get injured and I can treat them in there or just leave them to sleep for 20 mins or so, after which they can be put on a branch near to where they were found and within minutes mama bird will come and get it. We all mean well but they know what they’re doing. The best we can do is keep an eye out for predators. ❤️

Probably was unsure how stable the ground was. Was probably worried about slipping which looked like it happened at the end of the video.

There was no need for this, the mother would have instinctively climbed over and use her beak to lift them over. This dude put himself at risk of falling

You didn't need to do any of that The swans have a powerful beak and a long neck They could have plucked the ducklings from the playpen on the side bank At any point 👉

Quit projecting complex thought onto an animal. The swan saw a large creature approaching its babies and sought to defend them, by instinct, but acting warey to avoid injury. It ain't gonna trust something just because we can see the bloke going to help them, most animals aren't that deep.

@@Drankovich a swan can seriously injure you just like a goose can, he can even try to drown u👍🏻 and actually most animals are thát deep, unlike many humans 😂

The signets (baby swans) didn't need his help lol their parents can walk on ground, pick the babies up onto their backs and put them in the water. They were probably leaving them there to teach them how to climb and get into the water themselves. They have to learn to survive! You just distressed everyone without the need, sorry. Both the parents and their babies all seemed very upset, and understandably so. Please leave them alone next time. Your heart is in the right place, but you were doing the wrong thing.

This guy is not a hero he's just an attention getter. He wanted to look good to his kids. What if there were no humans around? Sooner or later the cygnets are going to get back up there. They weren't in any eminent danger. The guy was the one creating eminent danger. SMH
