@Danmark54 Incorrect, it will only splash once, not twice as you say, it will first try to use flagelation and if it's on CD it will use runed axe splash, if you don't believe me, try using it with creeps and take notes.

@Zeiden250 All heroes are available with the initial $30 purchace. There is a cash shop in HoN, but you can ONLY buy COSMECTIC items. Such as new skins for heroes or icons for your account. Nothing you can buy actually affects gameplay/balance etc.

@Danmark54 Helm is very useful on him because the longer he stays alive, the more whip procs he can get off. Since they only go off once every 4 seconds, it's important that he be able to stay alive and in the fight for as long as possible. There's a reason MSI picks up Helm on their gladiator every time they run him. The runed axe splash is nice but honestly the range on it is pretty small compared to your whip, so it's not the greatest help in teamfights. I'd rather go for my Riftshards.

@arenalt Getting two ranks of showdown early (lvl 8 & 9) helps alot with pitfalls, but you should always level showdown past level 2 later on. Learn to click it again to land your pitfalls (hint: listening to the sound helps). Level 4 showdown to your ultimate, is the same as lvl 2 showdown to pitfall. It is a guaranteed ultimate hit unless your target has spell immunity, since your ultimate takes just less than 4 seconds to land.

well, rampage -> baratrhum magmus -> sand king gladiator -> kunka jereziah -> omniknight witchslayer -> lion pebbles -> tiny tremble -> broodmother valkyrie -> mirana and the list goes on and on, they are ported from dota.

It's supposed to be a copy of Kunkka, they ported Kunkka from DotA over to HoN (This happened when Icefrog was still working for S2)

@DeVoirZ and if you look past the first video on that search, you'll see a page worth of other videos without doombringer, even one without max level whip, still getting annihilation plus the video you mentioned, he has two doombringers, and is 18-6 with 365 creep kills at 56 minutes into the game, and was outleveling the entire other team

You dont really need Shroud cause there is going to be someone to tank for you. What I get is Riftshard , Runed axe, and Shielb Breaker . Minus armor + pure cleave damage with critical will do the job. can wipe out the whole team. IDK why some people get frostburn. If i were them, I would get Behemoth'heart or Assasin's shroud for more solid damage and escapse mechanism. He is not a hero for 1v1ning carry. He is made for one hit wipe out in a quick moment.

@TheJmes007 Incorrect. Just tested. What I did: First i chose Gladiator in a practice game, getting 2 runed axes and a pair of steamboots. I ran up to their tower in the middle lane and spawned creeps. I hit 1 creep and the creep I hit dropped to about half of it hp, and killed all the others. Afterwards I ran to the secret shop, dropped my runed axes and bought 2 Sword of The high instead, to test the splash. Then I spawned creeps again and hit a creep. All creeps dropped to half health. :)

@dhogan18 crits damage doesn't stack, but the chances of critting do. Also, Nigma has been doing hero guides since October 2009. It's just that Riot decides to make their official first while copying Nigma's ideas. Not to mention the HoN ones are better produced.

They haven't made any direct ports from dota for at least 2 years, the last one being flint beastwood, and even when they did they still made original heroes at the same time. Plus back when they did port Icefrog was working with them so its not like they did this without permission.

For the last time. All the ported dota heros were aproved by icefrog before coming to hon. After dota2 was fully confirmed and icefrog hired, they stopped porting. Icefrog WAS working with s2games during the beta as an advisor. It wasnt a ripoff.

@demonictruism There is no possible way that you will get a Helm in laning phase. Laning phase ends quickly cause you need to interact in teamganks and laneganks. We can play a 1v1 same heroes, and you can buy whatever you want to him :)

@demonictruism He is not a tank, so Helm is pretty useless, no reason to waste money on that. Runed axe is a must, cause when you hit a creep, everything nearby will be hit by the whip + 40 % (runed axe effect) its so awesome, and that will do huge damage on a team if you go shroud first.

Just a tip guys Do NOT get runed axe as recommended in this guide, getting shroud/riftshards early is best for damage output, survivability, mobility and farm ability, and with riftshards alone you can clear a creepwave without the extra cleave from Runed axe, making it near aboselete. If you do get riftshards+shroud getting a shrunken head is probably a better choice for late game.

the real items to get is really first of helm and steamboots. after that you should go for the frostburn, so u get the runspeed, and your enemies will not get away from you ever. max out the the riftshards for an awesome crit, and for easy farm with your whip. after that you can do whatever you want, but behemoths heart and a doombringer gives you a 1k crit, and you will probably not die and really guys, dont get the shroud, its only for 1shot annihilations ; )
