I Love Qing Mao a lot. You can build a team around her but counterintuitively not a fast kill team but slowly wearing your enemies down team with her purple skill and protecting team with blinding. Her skill set as a whole is suitable to accumulate damage and benefits but not fast kill like Keira or Kahrk if the opponents are slower to deal damage than her. So she pairs up with Jorgen perfectly. Also when her enemies are pushed to the corner, her blinding effect can affect them all. In this sense her first skill complements Gala second skill very well. In this case any stun effect (andvari, faceless) can be multiplied as well. So Here is my Formular for a team around her (one of my grand arena teams) Galahad/Cleaver, Andvari/faceless, Qingmao, Jorgen, any backline healer (Thea, Martha, Dorian or even Jet).

One of my favorite heroes. I've had her in my Keira team for a while now, and hope she's able to keep up. The blind and the extra damage have just been so clutch sometimes I'd hate to have to drop her.

well, keira is pretty bad against bosses, quing mao will just compensate her lack of focus on one target, when you will consider to replace quing mao, you'll have to have a backup for keira too, when fighting bosses

I use her as my main damage dealer... Luther, Qing Mao, Jorgen, Faceless, and Martha. This team composition focuses on dragging out the fight, gathering your opponents together, and grinding them into the ground. Luther stops an opposing Martha and provides stun along with Faceless. Jorgen makes Galahad and Cleaver non-issues. Faceless usually copies Qing Mao and benefits from her armor penetration or Jorgen and benefits from his magic attack while bringing his own magic penetration. Faceless also protects Martha from opposing Luthers. Martha does a ton of healing and gives everyone a speed boost. I'm level 117, and it's pretty effective against stronger twins teams and 50/50 against Bob teams.

QM was definitely my new puppy character for a long time so happy to see this video. I still use her in 75% of my teams but her lack of survivability has caused me to use her less frequently now that my team is has reached max level. Still love her attack graphics.

She actually goes pretty good with Satori when you need to counter Sebastian in opposing team, cos virtually everything she does is considered to be debuff [armor cut, burning, blind, etc] so with the help of Astaroth and Jorgen she can eat that shield that cancels fire-marks pretty fast.

I'm only mid-level, but I noticed that at this stage she weirdly has good synergy with Lars against teams that are of equal level, although it seems counterintuitive to have a physical damage dealer pair up with a mage/control hero. Lars' ultimate pushes all enemies into one row, Qing Maos strong standard attack with the armor damage and her blinding attack then hit all of the enemies at once!

I disagree with your glyph artifact thoughts. Ive been using her for a long while and you need to consider her a support hero instead of a dps. She's there for the knockback armor reduction and armor penetration artifact. Pump hp and dodge so she stays up to maximize your dps hero

I partially agree. Dodge before Agility, but otherwise it's the right order. As a single target hitter, Qing Mao is best in a one-two DPS lineup. She doesn't really offer too much support to any other heroes other than Kiera. Tank killer, boss melter, but support? Please reply if you know of others who specifically synergize well with her.

@@grantsears7059 you're right that it mostly benefits Keira. But the armor reduction and armor pen glyph help and physical hitter. I put her in a team with ish and lian as well to help power though strong tanks. If you're counting on her dps you're going to be sadly disappointed imo

i think that is the same with her skins and artefacts, after default (increase armor a bit), get dodge so she may survive more, also get her dodge artefact higher first? she synergize well with any hero that do flat(non crit) physical damage: galahad, elmir, luther, nebula... idk what effect would her armor pen artefact have together with critical damage heroes. and as counter against tanks and front lane warriors, she is just great

On my second account I use her on my main Kiera team. She is great but tends to be one of my first to die. Would be awesome if you could do a video comparing her and Fox for a Kiera/ phsyical team. They both offer armor pen. Had a hard time deciding between them but in end went with Qing Mao.

Mao supports keira so well since keira depends on Armor Pen. When Artifacts start to activate more armor pen on your team never hurts. Add on the blind effect makes for good control on the pesky Karkh teams.

I think qingmao is more like a support hero than a DPS. Especially after the update of the Sebastian, she can take over nebula’s place in the Keira blender team and works very well. She is very qualified as a sub tank and control hero which can offfer keira more damage and survive longer. Also if the resource is enough, she can make a big damage by herself too. As lots of player have the Keira blender as their main team, I think qiaomao is becoming more important than before due to the updates.

A note regarding the Qing Mao Armour Penetration Skin. I think because most tanks are getting armour skins, giving warriors armour penetration skins allows them to remain viable. Although her purpose isn’t being a main damage dealer, the skin boosts her overall physical damage output saving her a space on a physical damaging team :)

I would note her Ult hits three times, usually exposing the warriors on front row.

This is also relevant, because the damage listed is PER HIT, meaning she effectively does 110% + modifier damage with each activation. (30% x 3 hits + 20% after burn.) It is also worth noting that the one of the hits often hits the 2nd line hero after pushback, especially when the 2nd line hero is a tank or warrior.

I have a pretty well built Qing Mao, and I agree with your assessment overall, although I favored the Book artifact because she does not get to fire her ultimate much when she's dead, heh. She is great at exposing Bob by knocking back his protector, all while dropping their Armor, so until I get my Andi up to par, she helps in countering Bob teams for me.

I use her on Galahad,QM,Keira,Dorian,Jet. Her main function is push Keira back close to dorian, as well as provide utility with the blind, penetration (boosting galahad's damage, keira does not need her) and % health so keira can melt tanks even faster

To finish Outland bosses, against Vadjar, you will definitly need a very strong Qin mao, with a lot of dodge. Against other players, I use her sometimes, but only because I dont have plenty of strong heroes. She gives armor penetration and decrease opponent's armor, but she is very weak by herself. Maybe (it's a big maybe) she has a strong place in counter physical attack / tank-ish teams, a Cain well-supported team. But in my knowledge, nobody has ever created this kind of team in pvp.

Big fan of Qing Mao. Its interesting that you recommend her for some but not most teams- I find that her positioning up front, along with her armor penetration and her 'back-up' attack (Qing Long) all make her a very sturdy hero who causes quite a bit of damage. I am finding her to be on the tanky side too, especially if you use Ziri or an offshoot of Krista/Celeste in tanky roles. Qing Mao helps keep the support line alive sometimes longer than the more notable damage dealers (Kiera, K'arkh, Elmer). Thats pretty valuable!

I've been running a cleaver, mao, neb, Dorian, kiera team and it works pretty well. That push back really helps to open things up for cleaver to do some damage while Kiera does her thing.

I have her in my Daredevil team, and she does great. I have Astaroth up front, then Mao, Celeste, Daredevil, and Thea. This team seems to do well for me in GA. I might look at putting her into a Keira team to see how much armor penetration I can get.

She seems like a pretty solid tank killer. Occasionally I come up against teams with two tanks in which case I would build the team around her for those. But unfortunately I am still a lower level player. Level 85 so may be a whole new ball game when I get up to 120.

Campaign definitely. However, I like to have her on second rank with two tanks in front to absorb damage (generally speaking for most fights). Still debating on armor penetration for earlier levels since she already does quite a bit along with glyphs and artifacts

Qing mao pairs super well with keira because the boost to armor pen sends keira's armor pen through the roof.

I have her on my main team, which I am about to tweak some. But level 87, Astra, Qing, Celeste, Artemis, Thea. Worked rather well to this stage. Thinking of changing to Astra, Qing, Celeste, Jhu, and Martha or staying with Thea. Any Thoughts, I get so many suggestions on a solid team, But I enjoy Qing being a true Dragon Collector I love that spirit dragon. Would it maybe be better for Keira to be in place of Artemis or Jhu?

i think that martha would be better then celeste for your team. from celeste's artefact only her and astaroth benefit, she doesn't bring much dps while martha's team speed may almost double your total dps. also, with keira's high armor penetration and quing mao's armor reduction and armor penetration, high armored enemies are not an issue for you

As a f2p she’s easy to get and useful too...I highly recommend her...she’s not perfect but she will do... im not sure tho why corvus’ altar could kill her quickly...I don’t think she does aoe like keira, i think it has to do with her blue ability the percentage of damage she deals is high, and if the enemy’s health is high, so the altar would just finish her instantly...so in my opinion, i would improve her health first..since the altar is pure damage, dodge & armor cannot negate it...also i find upgrading her star 4 and above can compensate the altar too so she would stay longer. Her violet ability (reduce enemy armor) & her artifact weapon (armor penetration) help some heroes like keira & yasmine (on mobile since yasmine attack the lowest armor)...That’s what I thought, i could be wrong since im new to this game just started few months ago

Tricky one this one. Agree probably not water bottle but will often be one of the four in a team rather than being the 5th hero that gets subbed in and out like the jorgens and nebulas. No idea how you would ever be able to factor that into a tier list though.

Qing Mao is overlooked on her synergy with Daredevil.... Daredevil does extra damage to burning targets, her brother burns the enemy over time, so Daredevil can use her own bomb and Qing Mao's Brother attack to enhance her big hit to burning targets attack..... Not to mention the Armor Pen obviously and then the Physical attack from DD I like these two together as an odd pairing that's different.

I am a new player. My exerience with Qing Mao is that she is definitely one of the best. Example (3 days ago) - in a team (Aurora, Astaroth, Maya, Mojo, Phobos) in which aurora was 3rd most powerful hero of that team (and generally my 3rd most powerful hero) lvl 38, blue +2, 2 stars, two gliphs lvl 6 and 5, skin lvl 7, two artifacts active lvl 5 and 4, and her 3 skills- grey lvl 27, green - 22, blue - 19 (and have in head that I have astaroth with his abilities higher than hers in almost all aspects, Maya only a few points overall lower than her, my 4th most powerful hero on the list + the Mojo with his healing spirits that I leveled up to 27) and she dies first in tower, dies first in campaign, dies first in dungeon, dies first against hydra... ruining my performance against hydra, ruining my performances in tower and dungeon and success in campaigns, often dragging entire team with her to death... And then I replace her in the team with Qing Mao (at that time my newest hero out of 13) lvl 22, blue, 1 star, 2 gliphs lvl 2, skin lvl 3, two artifacts lvl 3 and 1, skills respectively lvls 22, 19, 11- and lo and behold team does better overall. And now aurora is 7th strongest hero (of curent 15) and Qing Mao 8th. And I am going to make sure that eventually aurora is weakest of my heroes, I have already sold al of her soul stones, and stopped investing resources into her skin, skills, artifacts, gliphs... and instead I am investing into QM, raising her through the ranks. Now my primary heroes are Gadalah, Maja, Phobos, Qing Mao, Tea, Kiera, Judge, Orion, Mojo and Faceles. Unless someone better pops up - I am going to work on them.

Note that Qing Mao is an absolute must in defeating Outland boss. In the livestream video it was shown that Qing Mao together with 2 or 3 tanks are all that is needed to defeat the boss even at level 160... Just saying. Personally I think she is squishy unless you max out her dodge

While we see the logics in pairing QM with Keira, for us the theory seems not viable in practice. Keira only seems to shine vs teams equal or lower in level, as otherwise her attack doesn't get past the first foe. That is exactly when you have no need for QM as the foes die off before lowering the armor builds up. We find ourselves using Keira mostly in the (easy) Tower, and adventures. So this pairing might be for endgame, where every team is equal level?

I like Qing Mao. I use her on my top team with Keira, Astaroth, Gallahad, and Martha, but I recently had the choice to get one of her skins (I don't believe that I could get her armor penetration skin) or to get another skin for keira (I already had her armor penetration winter skin). I ended up getting Keira's physical attack skin because I just wasn't sure if Qing Mao was going to stay in my top team. I do love how she works synergistically with Keira given her armor penetration glyph, but I might end up taking out Qing and putting in Nebula on a more permanent basis (sometimes I take out astaroth or gallahad and sub in nebula as well).

Personally, I love Qing Mao; she's the hero I've invested the most into outside of Astaroth, and my main team's Damage-Dealer alongside Keira (team is Jorgen-Celeste-Keira-Qing Mao-Astaroth). My team level is 82, and I can fairly often beat teams 20+ levels higher. Highly recommend her!

@@xxxluchoxxxful I was lucky to get Celeste from the heroic chest. I really enjoy her ability to switch between healer and magic attacker! Thea is really nice, but doesn't really do as well compared to the other healers. Once I got Celeste and Martha, Thea has fallen to my 4th most leveled healer, behind Maya as well.

It's "damage per hit" 30% + "damage over time" 20%. she does something like 4-5 hits, so that makes it quite strong

I agree with her placement. I really like her in my Kiera team... but with Kiera getting pretty upgraded she is less required most fights. I am debating rotating her into my specialist group (eg Helios and Cornelius).

Qing Mao is a boss killer, first and foremost. Following that, she's an exceptional tank killer and front line warrior killer. She's atrocious vs twins and many of the caster metas. Charlie's pretty much spot on with the "milk crate tier" place.

QM has great synergy with Andvari. Andy's shield protects the hero with the least armor, and when she gets this buff it can cause QM to rapidly dish out lots of damage to the front line!

work on her default skin and dex glyph, dexterity increase armor so she may live longer. also dodge helps, but the chance is pretty low

My team is astoroth, Marcus, qing Mao, Astrid and Lucas and Keira. This team has got me past chapter nine and my team level is only 73

I don't think that Qing mao can be build a team around. For that to work she need to habe the armor pen book. Without the book aswell as the fact that her abilitys aren't really Damage only abilitys she can't become a carry of a team. I agree with your opinion :)
