Poppy is the only female champion I've really wanted to write for and sing myself, so don't get your hopes up for any others. It's mostly just because I love her to bits, but I have the justification that Poppy would be too humble to sing a song about herself, so instead I imagined her theme as being sung by Orlon as he gives her the hammer, and that the resonant bass drum is his heartbeat. Just ignore that Orlon sounds oddly young for a man on his deathbed.
I’m at the point with mixing where I can identify whether or not the song is poorly mixed, but not what specifically is wrong with it, let alone what I’m supposed to do to fix it. I was close to restarting the mixing stage for this one from scratch, and I probably would have were I not on something of a deadline right now (let’s just say videos in the future are closer than they appear).

As a Poppy Main who is absoluteley obsessed with her (mostly because of her lore) I love this! The text motivates Poppy, shows trust in her to find the hero and shows the friendship between the two perfectly (assuming the text is from Orlon's perspective). This song gives Orlon and his relationship to Poppy more lore than Riot did in all those years. Edit: I Love the detail that Poppy is too Humble to write a Song herself so someone who respects her makes the Job for her ❤

Absolutely love that it is sung in the perspective of Orlon and not Poppy, really makes it feel like a ballad worthy of a Demacian hero (even if she doesn't realize it), great work as always!

AW YEAH ANOTHER BANGER, WOOOOOO Also I enjoy that you changed it up with this one, in what I can only assume was because of a lack of a female vocalist OR because you wanted to do this one as a challenge. Usually with your lyrics its the champ singing them, but with this one its Orlorn (the man who gave Poppy her hammer) singing to Poppy. I just think it's really neat. And I can't wait for whenever, if ever, you get to Mordekaiser.

okay I gotta ask though... I love the song but my only gripe is the last line "You defend, I ascend". First part, I understand. She gives the hammer to others thinking they're the hero defending whatever and whatnot. But "I ascend"... Poppy doesn't ascend, does she? idk, don't really get that part

Oh that's because it isn't Poppy saying it. Orlon's the one ascending (as in to heaven even though heaven isn't a thing in Runeterra idk could be the Celestial Realm or something). Understandable confusion, since this is the only song I've done that's sung completely from the perspective of someone other than the champion it's about.
