It made a lot of sense why you went West to deal with the opposing players, but it's interesting to think that you could have beaten the map much sooner if you had done the non-obvious thing and pushed North/East instead to get to the goblins.

I heard the other day that creature specialty does count for movement points. The speed artifacts however do not.

Great video! What mods do you use to re-do auto battles like you do (What i mean fight them manual if AI done goofed)? Or how do you seperate stacks in map mode?? There is a lot of quality improvements that i just dont get in my gog version of heroes complete ed... (Not HD mind you, with armageddon and shadow of cherobyl (jk) )

The mod is the HD mod (different to HD Edition) and comes from here: sites.google.com/site/heroes3hd/ Ctrl + click on a stack of units splits a one-stack from the main stack.

Hi, thanks for the video :) Small piece of feedback; when you right-click to get the tooltip (on the building screen in particular) could you... do it less or keep the tooltip window open just a /tad/ longer? It doesn't have to be long enough to actually read it, just to slow down the flashing. I get that you just want to open them to check pre-requisites or something and that it's different when you're the one actually clicking but the repeated flashing windows makes my brain goes into overdrive as it's trying to keep up. I didn't notice it much in this video but I was watching some videos from earlier this year last night. Cheers.

When learning the game, do you recommend playing campaigns or skirmishes? I really want to play the campaigns chronologically but I'm struggling at the second mission of New Beginnings, I think it's mostly because of me rushing too much and bad skill choices.

I've never played through the campaigns tbh! It depends on your goals. If you're looking to play similar to me then practising skirmishes and actively trying to learn things from the Wiki, KZbin etc. should teach you a lot. Pvp is more unforgiving, I don't really play it.

I'm curious as to why you didnt just get a thunderbird on all parties and go get the goblin dwellings(or the orc dwelling you ran by like 6 times and I twitched over lol), pretty sure a summon boat would have alleviate the problems however (provided it let you lol), you sir are a great player however not annihilating all your enemies you seem to be a bit weak on :)

I wonder how you would handle Adventure of Jared Haret. It's one of the most brutally difficult maps and you only get one hero to play with, but unlike Unholy Quest--a similar style map that's fun but way too generous with its unit distribution--Adventure of Jared Haret is too stingy. Completing that map on Impossible difficulty--let alone any difficulty--makes you worthy of a spot in the HoMM3 hall of fame.

I'm not usually a fan of puzzle style maps where only a narrow range of strategies can work, if it's one of those. But I know it's one of the maps included in the game so hopefully I'll give it a go at some point

@@Norovo I wouldn't blame you if you didn't; that map is unforgiving as hell. It *earned* that Impossible difficulty rating and makes me wonder if they even playtested it. Other than that, I wonder if you have any plans to go through the campaigns.
