A set of fun facts. If this game was released nowadays: a) Luna, Galtran, Jeditte, Kyrre, Solmyr, Sir Mullich and Craig Hack would be sold separately as "THE LEGENDARY HEROES DLC"; b) Necromancy skill would be a part of pre-order DLC "THE LORDS OF THE DEAD"; Necropolis town would still be available to the general public though; c) you would be able to purchase up to 1 Crystal, 1 Fairy, 1 Rust and 1 Azure Dragon per month (real-time), but you'd be allowed to surpass this limitation by buying PLATINUM GAME MEMBERSHIP; d) only PREMIUM MEMBERS would be able to play Conflux; e) game wouldn't run in offline mode, nor would it have LAN or Hot Seat multiplayer; f) there'd be no random map generator; instead, the game would have Steam Workshop support and all the "I made dis" elf-hoarding maps by 8-year-olds you could possibly stomach

You just need to learn a few things (might take you minutes to learn them), and then repeat those things in every game, maybe in a couple of different ways depending on whether you're playing against the AI or a human player

The writeup is good but the video itself undersells her because you're mostly fighting relatively weak armies that could be crushed with no/minimal casualties with most factions. It's a good illustration of how to manipulate the AI pathing though, and as this levels up you can do some really silly things with it + 7 stacks of 1 pixie etc. The real draw for Luna is that she can clear out otherwise difficult stockpiles/banks/mines and (if she has forgetfulness) even relatively impressive numbers of shooters this way pretty early in the game to open resources sooner, and a quick look at this video and your (fast) positioning leads me to believe you cleared many harder neutral stacks with her :).

Goltermann87 Glad you liked it! Even though it's a common modification, I wasn't able to find a reliable standalone source online. So I uploaded my own. You can grab the mod here: www.mediafire.com/download/pb5eibciuq12i0i/cranim.txt It's a TXT file. Just drop it into your Heroes 3's /Data/ folder. As I understand it, it's a file the game can run whether it's present or not. If I'm mistaken in that regard and your install already has this file there, rename it to something like cranimORIG.txt before putting this one in. That way even you ever want to go back to life without it (you won't :P), you can. Hope that helps!

This is because the army you're carrying is stronger. Strip down to a weaker army. I would recommend no more than 30-40 Pixies/Sprites.

A lot of these awesome tactics really take advantage of the game's somewhat poor AI... like creatures stupidly walking straight into a wall of fire due to it being the closest path to the target, or armies wasting a valuable turn attacking a harmless 1-unit army

If your army is very weak compared to enemy one then they split up into many smaller ones. They only do 1-2 large stacks when you are too strong for them.

Meanwhile, the rest of your army can be finding shrines and/or taking over cities where you can prioritize 3rd level guild mages to seek out Forgetfulness. Either way, the video is a proof of concept. It's up to the individual player how much stock to put into it.

@@Dushku i think it isn't worth it to dive into upgrading luna that much. u'll need a lot of spellpower to clear out monsters midgame and a fast, strong 1 hex flying unit, which energy elemental might be. i dont play maps larger than L, so there's less freedom to use a strategy like this

In those kind of battles both phoenixes and magic elementals (Conflux' - supposedly - strongest army) dies fast against any other faction. So, no, Conflux is NOT overpowered.... unless you play competitive games where fights take place during the first few weeks / months. In those scenarios, yes, Conflux is op. But I don't play those, therefore conflux is shit

Georgi Petrov It's a feature of the HD mod. I forget if it's CTRL or Shift, but you hold one of those buttons while hovering over an enemy.

saras sadauskas you need Expert of the element which improves all spells. Expert Fire Wall - 3 hex wall. Expert Haste/Slow will affect all allies/enemies.
