Heroes III: Tactical Fight Using Enemy's Ammo Cart and Sharpshooter's Bow

The trick is to hide the Cyclops behind his own ammo cart and block them with his own blinded troops, in this case the Pit Lords. You must have Archdevils too, along with ring of speed to win the third turn. And, the Sharpshooter's Bow, of course, to be able to shoot when blocked. And then just wait until his mana is exhausted. Having doubled your own mana before fight, you can raise your troops and kill them one by one. Use your shots carefully, they're only 24.

I actually don't like when the game gets to these over-dimensioned levels of unlimited mana, every spell in the game maxed out with thousands and thousands of troops clashing. It's more fun when the numbers are small and the outcome of a battle is dependent on extremely delicate and subtle variables such as unit characteristics, flight, no retaliation, number of hit points, stats etc. Sometimes less is more

Oh I remember abusing OP spells like Resurrection sooooo often. Also Town Portal, Dimension Door :D My favourite hero was Jeddite with the Resurrection specialty. I always knew these spells were too OP, even game breaking, but I enjoyed it every time nonetheless :-) Made me able to win impossible fights. Good times.

@@maryjoy2092 This is Wayfarer (E) map. Its single map where you have only 4 heroes. Yog is Orrin with Archery, Ciele is Dessa with Logistics, Gem is Mephala with Armorer and Kilgor with +2 Speed.

I feel sorry for the nowadays kids playing games that are crap and catch their eye only because of stunning graphics. Heroes III is the eternal shit - runs on XP, Vista and Win7 (I have tried only those so far), has ridiculously low system requirements, and both its concept and the idea were executed perfectly. It is a game you can play for years. Two days ago I started playing after a break of around 7-8 years.

Works perfectly fine on Windows 8 (aside from occasional crashing - luckily, the game autosaves one turn away from the crash everytime). Truly is a classic. Games nowadays don't have the same amount of replay value or enjoyment as such an old game like HoMM III has!

One little useful tactic you could have also used is to wait the archdevils, then attack when it comes back to them, then return to their original position on their following turn. With their high speed and no enemy retaliation, they will receive 2 turns in sequence, allowing for a free attack with no hindrance to their health or position on the field. I realize for this particular fight it wouldnt have made much of a difference, but still useful nonetheless

Its far more easy to use mass slow and then blind them one by one.After that you kill each unit easily and you don't spend so much mana.

I shouldn't have wounded his troops before resurrecting, that's the mistake. First Aid Tent isn't worth spending the shots for it.

Besides, I'ts and old version of Heroes where you have to wait for the sounds and animations to end before doing anything else. In newer mods sounds run in parallel stream so it doesn't bother you so terribly.

Bogdan Sverediuk Hey, you seem to know alot about heroes. Theres one thing that has been annoying me for a long time and that is that the spells you get in your mage guilds are completely random. Is there any way to change this so that you always get fixed spells (Town portal) at level 4 for certain towns? Or maybe so that if you have Berserk in 1 town it will not appear again in another.

ShoutsWillEcho1 Ah, I expect to see that spells in Guild Magi as soon as possible too. But, once you started to play the map, you cannot change any starting conditions. Usually, spells are given to you randomly unless the mapmaker sets them himself. If you want to get some spells for sure you can open the map via the mapeditor and change them and then save the map. But this is considered as a cheat. Better play the map as it is.

That's a good question. I think Crusader is the best level 4 creature, particularly for its double strike, though other creatures do not fall behind seriously. Second place are Silver Pegasi and Vampire Lords and the third place are Archmagi. The worst level 4 creature is, perhaps, an Energy Elemental.

shdba Oger's have a ridiculous health stack and cast a nice buff spell, I'd put them in the top with vampire lords. crusaders are not too hard to kill since their damage source dosn't help their retaliation.

get a grail on conflux and u can get all the spell u need. and, even if you are a might heroes u need at least 2 spell masteries, normally earth and air for XL maps. in the video he only used 500 spell points btw lol. if u wanna create an army without spell, go ahead, but dont forget the damn orb before the opponent cripples u with spell and a much smaller army.
