For the longest time i thought that Gelu and Tarnum clashed the swords but the fact is: Khija got to the Sword of Frost first and brought it to her husband Kilgor. And it was Gelu and Kilgor that clashed the swords together. What i loved about the story is that Tarnum escapes the Armageddon with his foster son Waerjak and his tale actually ends in Heroes 4. I'd recommend to any fan of the series to get the gog verison of Heroes Chronicles and play it for a story like none other.

That humanoid or human on the left there, in the background, at 00:46, that's some sick dance moves going on there, looks like a dance-off, and also that dance kick move at 00:53 on the left, its a dance-off battle..... , these 2 with the swords, they were doing their sword strike dance moves and that barbarian just freaked the f*ck out, "AAAAGGGHHH" and then everything went to shit when 2 swords clashed, it all makes sense now, no wonder this planet exploded, with that level of logic, dance off's and two-swords-clashing-ending-the-world shit, no world can last long. oh... and let us not forget the neckless dance move at 01:40..... To be honest, I keep re-watching this intro because it's just epic, so random, it's just so good.

"To all things comes an end" - This was developed when 3DO and New World were undergoing many problems, layoffs, and this was only the year before they shut down. Someone else pointed this out in another video, but the developers probably knew this was going to be their last game...

Gelu: Knows about prophecy. Has been warned by Tharnume. Keep Armageddon Blade at fort and pick another good one to fight Kilgore? Or even use just bow and arrows, since you're the best sharpshooter in Enroth? Nope. Call down a local armageddon to bury the most brutal barbarian king with his army and get rid of dangerous blades? Both of them. Nope. Trick Kilgore into another hit to dodge it and backstab him afterwards? Nope. Stop just holding the sword in clash (I wonder how, since Gelu is not as strong as Kilgore, yet more dexterious) since you know how it will end and parry the Blade of Frost and (at last!) stab him? Nope. Save the world as promised? Nope. Become its doom? Yeah, why not? Let's spill more blood and burn down the undead! And then have a destiny battle in the middle of nowhere to take this world in hell. At least Bracade mages discovered an another realm and opened portals for the leftovers... Who didn't learn a lesson from a past and destroyed their new world again. This time, with no escapes... Rest in Peace. Ancients won't forget...

@@Arthus_Thenesus That's not true tho. New world still exists in canon. We simply have moved to new timeline with Heroes 5,6 and 7... which is horrible at one hand but kinda good at another. At least the new timeline is not connected in any shape or form to old one and therefore it cant screw over the "new world"

Gelu during Shadow of death and armageddons blade - Greatest elven hero, brilliant commander, noble and brave soldier. Gelu later - LMAO gib me da swurd Trnum and lets wait for Kilgor to assemble more army while we have advantage of armageddons blade and could easily demolish barbarians. OH SHIT OH FVCK, come 1v1 and boom. Clearly Gelu was a victim of baaaad writing. Stories from homm IV campaigns were great, especially the half dead, but story behind destruction of Enroth was bollocks.

Just because the studio was shutting down, doesnt mean they have to end the entire lore of the Homm1-3. Whoever suggested this idea is an idiot and a selfish prick for not giving other studios the chance to expand upon it just because World Computing made poor financial choices.

So two sword on their own do nothing just a little fancy effect but simply clashing causes a global destruction. This is why I hate so many fantasy stories including Dragon Ball. They say it's so powerful and immortality etc but when they actually do anything it's not even an atom bomb. If they can cause Armageddon and tank a force to destroy earth then WHY THE HELL WOULD A TINY EXPLOSION THE SIZE OF MY HOUSE DO ANY GOOD?! It's like a sling sinking a damn carrier but two slings hitting each other's rock causing the stock market crash of 1929
