It's probably been five years or so since I saw the first PJatO movie, and the only non-forgettable part of the movie for me was what they did to Anaklusmos. What the hell is Percy gonna do when in HoO 3 or 4 he ends up in [spoiler], with no other writing tools in sight, and has to write a letter to someone? Will they have to give him a mind link with the sword so it knows what mode he wants? Riordan didn't need that trick, he left his options open with it being a pen with a cap. Ok, rant done.

I can’t believe that this is canonically accurate. In the third book, the narrator discusses the fact that Annabeth had been acting like a leader to the group on their way to new Rome. Always asking for permission from her, waiting for her to call the shots, even coach Hedge would listen to her. Percy started being the leader when she embarked on her journey to save the Athena Parthenon.
