For you that wonder, the Lost Vikings is one of Blizzards oldest games, released in 1992 for the Nes and snes. The lost Vikings is not from with any other mayor Blizzard IP (Warcraft, starcraft and Diablo) and is the first Hero in Hots not from the 3 previously mentioned IP's.

This is quite awesome, despite the fact that they have not been around for so many years. I don't really count the cameo appearances they had in World of Warcraft/ Badlands/ Uldaman. I wonder if there will ever be a Lost Vikings 3 game. Even Blizzard has admitted that the vikings were the most requested characters for the Heroes of the Storm, what only means that there are many fans out there who love the franchise, which has to be resurrected. I am sure that this caught their attention. In an interview, one of the developers has mentioned that if a Lost Vikings 3 game is ever made, the characters will look like the ones in Heroes of the Storm. Lets hope :)

I've never played the Lost Vikings games, but I have played Trine. Are they similar?

Well similar in the way that you have to switch between 3 characters. Lost Vikings is more of a puzzle game. You have to combine the skills of the 3 vikings in order to survive the challenging puzzles. As for Trine is more a real time strategy style game, similar to warcraft. Lost vikings is unique :) It is never too late to play it :) You should definitely try it out. I bet you will like it. You will exercise your mind a lot. It requires a lot of thinking :) Don't forget that there is a sequel also which is even better :) Have fun

Kronikwookie while your at it, go play Rock & Roll Racing too! it was another game Blizz made before Warcraft 1! back in the day, blizz mosrtly made games for consoles like the Super Nintendo, 3 of their earliest games RPM Racing, Rock and Roll Racing and Lost Vikings were indeed on that system, and for the time they were made, they were all great fun games but none of the 3 were very dark or violent, even with R&R Racing being the most violent, it was still so mild that a child could play it and just have fun without the violence beingg an influence but blizz back before Warcraft 1 and the invention of Battle.net made such games...and alot of people have fond memories of these games, i never heard of RPM Racing until recently when i wanted to do some research into blizzards origins and early days...but it was indeed a Super Nintendo game to be honest, itd blow my mind 100 years into the future if blizzard put any character fro mR&R Racing into Heroes of the Storm, i mean, they could totally do it...i dont imagine it would be hard for them to find a way to fit such characters in and make them both reminiscent of the game but also functionally similar to other ideas in Heroes

All the raged wow fan babies crying it was X wow character. This isn't "Warcraft: Dota featuring Starcraft and Diablo". The lost Vikings had a higher request rate than any WoW hero so chill if your favorite character doesn't get in over an old blizzard game character get over it.

Kalgert well, Sylvanas isnt from WoW...go play Warcraft 3 and its Expansion, The Frozen THrone...thats where she came from she predates WoW like any number of the characters in WoW...Arthas did too, so did Thrall, so did a ton of characters all WoW did was take the rich universe of Warcraft and make it into an MMO...it didnt create much of anything new or unique...it just took mostly what was already existing thanks to Warcraft 1/2/3 and built upon it

Kalgert well i dont...in fact id kill for a Warcraft 4 about now im sure eventually Blizz will make it, while WoW is an insanely successful game, im sure blizz knows that alot of people LOVED Warcraft as an RTS game like Starcraft...it is the name to their fame i mean, they existed before Warcraft 1, made fun games like RPM Racing, Rock & Roll Racing and Lost Vikings...but Warcraft 1 and the invention of Battle.net pole vaulted them to a world-class company...b-net at the time was something totall new that nobody had ever done before prior to battle.nets first version, to connect to people for multiplayer you needed their IP Address to even play with or against them...battle-net let people all connect to a central "hub" and host/join games from there which was FAR easier and more convenient so blizz has quite a rich history as a game developer...they also did make great strides in technology and what people expect of gaming when the industry was far more infantile than it is now b-net was a first for gaming, but since then, so many other companies realized the value of such a method of playing games, valve made Steam which is the same kind of tthing, many other games have their own services similar to b-net

Not just in Uldaman, either: they make an apperance in the Badlands in the Cataclysm questline (at least Alliance-side) where they help you take down the Black Dragons in the area. I do wish we'd also have gotten to see Fang and Scorch, the werewolf and the dragon, their two buddies from "The Lost Vikings 2: Norse by Norse-West".

Yay, Lost Vikings! I never imagined their voices would sound like that, but Olaf is hilarious. I'm glad that when Blizzard says Heroes of the Storm brings characters from ALL the Blizzard universes, they truly mean _all_. Just shows that they don't forget their old favorites alongside the new ones. It really makes me wonder if they will also add in their other old, and independent IPs, such as Blackthorne and one of the monster trucks (and racers) from Rock N' Roll Racing.

A Rock N' Roll Racer seems pretty douable considering they were able to have vehicle characters like Sgt. Hammer. And if they were able to make The Lost Vikings 3 separate characters that you have to control individually as one entity, I think a racer in a monster truck shouldn't be hard at all.

Leon Zhang Diablo in D3 wasn't much bigger than Imperius, who is slightly bigger than Tyrael, who isn't that much bigger than us (especially Barbarians) thus he's like twice as tall as us. Deathwing is so big we can fight on his back. That's a big ass difference. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Deathwing in, just giving you there reason as to why he will not likely appear (though he's got a demand so they may bring him in regardless)

TheSwedishViking Well Norway was part of Denmark back then, and I'm pretty sure most of Sweden was as well =P So it may be a mix of a scandinavian accent yes.

Nah, vikings spoke the old Norse language, and the languages most similar to it are Icelandic, Faroese and Norwegian. I think this is just poking fun at the stereotypical Nordic accent, though.

k01dsv Danish, Norwegian or Swedish didn't exist back then, not the way we know it today, the closest you will get to old norse is icelandic and even that isn't really that close to the original.
