That's a way to describe the entire series. This show was about what it could be, but wasn't. I ask myself why they took the decisions they did. The answer is... I figured out when DC came to movie theathers: War between stupid producers. It can ruin everything.

I sooo agree. It was actually the first show I ever binge watched. I started watching it a couple of episodes before the end of season one. Back before Hulu excited I watched about 20 episodes of the show on NBC’s website. The show had so many amazing actors in it. I know that a lot of shows got screwed over by the strike but this is the one that hurt the worst.

What I think would have been an interesting storyline is wrapped around the Adam Monroe character. Adam Monroe was 400 years old, and his name is Adam. What if he was the original “Hero” (mutant), and all of the others were essentially his descendents from 400 years of traveling the world and siring offspring. That also would have tied neatly into Dr. Suresh’s story arc of trying to find the source of the powers.

Omg. Looking back on heroes is so fun now that I've seen Veronica Mars. I realize that the guy who was yelling about being Peter(Jesse) was in both shows with Kristin Bell. Heroes came out after Veronica Mars, so that leads me to believe that Kristin Bell invited Francis Capra or at least told the directors or vouched for him when he was being considered to get him on the show. That's so fun. XD

There was just always so many plot holes and inconsistencies. Like Peter absorbs powers at first but the first time he met Sylar he didn't absorb his ability. I never got that. Also, what ever happened to that Irish girl that went to the future with him. He literally never brings her up after they get separated. Those are the things that drove me nuts about this show

She isn't evil she does have trouble understanding empathy and is very dependant on validation which makes easy to manipulate which is what her father and then later down line Arthur did. Her getting better was literally her undoing all the abuse she's been through an actually learning how to feel and function by herself

His powers allows him to understand and copy abilities. He can do that more than one way. He can understand the power, what makes it 'tick' by killing as he normally does. But he also can understand the person, what drives them and what makes them, them. And that's how he copied Elle he understood her and then was able to copy it.

I always thought they could have improved the plot x 1000% if they had made Sylar lose one power every time he took another one - and he had no control over which one he lost. It would have made him much more careful and selective instead of just a killer of everyone. He would have had to make alliances - powers he wanted on his side but not at the expense of ones he had - and generally care about powers much more. I thought it was a real lost opportunity.

The writers messed up when they changed it again by making Sylar not be Peter’s brother. It was so awesome making him Peter’s brother and it made so much sense since their powers similar.

Their powers aren't similar at all. Peter borrows powers, but Sylat takes powers because his original power was to see how things work and function. That's why he sees where to take it from their brains.

@@twentysevenand Sylar doesn't take powers at all. Arthur shows him that he doesn't actually need to open them up to gain their powers as we see from him gaining Elle's power earlier in the season. The reason why he kills is that before he was literally opening up their brains to make his power work - but Clair doesn't even stop when he does that. Probably all of Sylar's victims could have been healed by Claire's blood if the company had gotten there in time and had it to hand.
